I took this course years ago. I was "visiting" from another discipline, and worried I didn't have enough background, but he was very supportive, and I did quite well. He is a natural teacher, understands how to facilitate high value interaction in class, and motivates participation. Great feedback on papers & presentations. Challenging & worth it.

He's the best and most entertaining teacher I have ever had. I recommnend taking the higher level classes with him. He comes with the hardest and strangest exams but it is still worth it. He also has very unique ideas.

not very exciting, unpredictable exams. it seems he lets the TAs be incharge of technical work. i was unlucky enough to get a TA who clearly didn't know how to use javascript properly. leaving me with lots of trouble getting notes off WEBCT
