Not a regular English class, more like a public speaking/ presentation based class. DOES NOT USE CANVAS. No grade updates or source for upcoming assignments. Takes a LONG time to grade- over a month for multiple choice midterm. Expects to much out of his students for how much he puts forward as a professor- least open to any ideas for paper topics

ONE OF THE BEST PROFESSORS AT CHAFFEY!! Took him summer 2018 Fast Track. HILARIOUS GUY! He gives 3 papers, 1 group project, and 1 indiv. presentation. No need for a book he has his own website to make up for it. Allows you to redo papers for a better grade and some gives SOME extra credit. Impossible to fail his class. Seriously! Take him :)

Comment:

Professor Williams is hands down one of the best professors you can take a class with at Chaffey College. He gives amazing lectures, doesn't give too many papers, and is understanding & willing to help when you come to him with problems. Be ready to read a *ton* in his class, but know that if you do this class is an easy A. I hope to take him again

Comment:

Professor Williams is really a sweet man. Always open to sitting down and listening to your questions. The highest score he likes to give on papers before revision is a 13.5/15 (since there is always room to improve). Had 1 group project, 1 individual project, & 3 papers. Likes to convert all units of time into seconds for some reason lol.

Comment:

Great professor and really cared about the students in our class. He took the time to make sure everyone was one the same page. Tons of reading, but Mr. Williams provides enough time to get caught up, and reviews the readings in class before jumping into the next topic. Overall, one of the best professors I have had in my Higher education journey.

He is a funny and caring teacher. You can go to his office hours and he can check your essay for you. Give really good feedback and wants you to do well in his class. There is a lot of online reading but you have a lot of time to read them. You can also revise your essay and give it to him to get a better score.

Took Willams for Eng 575 & is class is really easy. Laid back. He gives you all the reading, so no book required & it's all about essay... you'll have 6 essays in total & he does conferences, meaning hell give you a look at your grade & all the revision on the essays

Professor Williams is an amazing teacher! Ive had the opportunity to take him twice now. He is truly passionate about what he does. He has the ability to make every text we read sound interesting and exciting. He truly cares about his students and is pretty lenient. Classes are never boring. Highly recommend.

He is very passionate about teaching.. in a way that gets you involved and interested in the subject. He cares about participation and your insight on readings. So you will need the book. Theres no final, just a couple of papers throughout the class and group presentations. Took this class during the summer and I HIGHLY recommend it!!

Amazing professor. He's super chill and really cares about the class. He gives some extra credit opportunities but don't expect to rely on only that. He gives quizes on the readings and there are 3 papers plus some group work.

he is a really great teacher... we only used our books like 3 times. the essays are easy ... there are only a couple of things that he makes you do on the website but those are just getting you prepared for the essays and we had 1 quiz. you have a total of 6 assignments and thats it mostly drafts and he lets you revise it as many times as you want

Very average class as far as coursework. Professor is very genuine and cares about students as individuals not as a whole. Unorganized as far as due dates and getting assignments back in a meaningful time, but VERY fair and made it beneficial to students

This class is hard not cos of the professor, but cos of the nature of the class. He is a good professor, sometimes procrastinates like puts up homework on the blog the morning of class Monday instead of assigning it on the weekend but other than that he is super funny, fun to learn from and you'll learn alot. will recommend him.

Most amazing English teacher I've ever had. His class was informative and I learned a ton. English 1A was comprised of a lot of writing about short stories, but English 1B was a ton of fun. He explains everything extremely well and allows you to rewrite papers until you get the grade you desire. He is also super helpful.

Comment:

I had Williams for mythology first, and hat class was absolutely wonderful. His essays are long and challenging but absolutely easy to accomplish as long as you work on it a few solid days. Don't put them off. Take notes on his interesting discussions and use those on essays. Follow through the posts he puts up, engl 1C and 76, but he always helps.
