Comment:

Dr. Watkins assigns essays that get you thinking about the world in a new way. I have not only fixed errors in my writing process but I have gained perspectives from this class by the information I found while writing my papers. The class requires you to engage with your classmates and his in class discussions gets the creative juice flowing.

Watkins is pretty awesome. A lot of work, but gives a lot of feedback for your essays. I did become a better writer in his class and he is very encouraging. He wants you to do well and succeed. Pretty chill professor too. I would definitely take him again.

Comment:

The class totals for 5 essays, gives plenty of time for each essay about a month on each one. Turn in the small items along with the essay and your sure to pass. He is very understanding and supportive just communicate. I'm so grateful he was my English professor.

The professor is kind and easy going. Knows how to grade fairly. The class is based on 4 essays and a final. He helps you make an essay by doing things each week like making a thesis, work cited, body paragraph, rough draft, etc and then you turn in the essay. He's the head of the English department and is friendly so all questions will be answered

Neil Watkins is a very amazing professor. He will always give you good feedback on assignments and rough drafts he need to check. While something is due every day, it's not hard to complete, just compete your homework and show up to class every day.

Really great professor. Every point counts in this class but it's still very easy to get an A. No extra credit just do the homework and you'll be fine. Four essays total, goes through each step thoroughly and helps you learn the process of good writing. One book needed for the class (great book btw). Also funny at times and very chill personality.

Checks attendance everyday. The class is outlined specifically from the start. The point system is straight forward and fair, class is 100 points so each point matters. Don't miss a due date. He is really helpful if you go in for feedback. Keep up with the reading, don't procrastinate on the essays. Fair grader, good class. One late essay allowed

hand down one of my favorites! Attendance is a must!!! he does give a lot of papers and theres a lot to do! at first I was a bit over whelmed, but honestly it was super easy because he literally walks you through every tiny step. if you're lazy then of course your going to fall behind! the key is to do his assignments the day its given, don't wait

Such a good online professor! Easy to pass, do the discussion questions and summaries, and the essays, you'll pass. He actually gives you good feed back, just follow everything he tells you do include in your paper and youll pass.

Professor Watkins is a great teacher. For me, he was not tough at all. Very fair, gives awesome feedback, very laid back, so organized and stays on task. He is very clear of what he expects out of his students, and his lectures are engaging and fun. He is very easy to communicate with, also gave out 5 dollar gift-cards for perfect attendance.

Professor Watkins is truly amazing. He gives you a deadline for all of your assignments ahead of time. He has a calendar with everything for the semester already planned out. All of his assignments count so if you do all of them then you WILL pass the class. Even though he doesn't offer extra credit if do your work& you'll be fine. He's super nice!

Professor Watkins is truly a great instructor! I took him for English 1A and am taking him for 1B right now. Your homework is your essays, there are 4 essays, 1 final( in-class essay) + one mini essay. Books are required. NO extra credit because he expects you to not miss any work then you won't need extra credit. Really great overall! :)

He's a teacher that is organized and he will guide you to pass his class. Show up to class or you won't pass. Homework is daily but if you do it, it's hard to fail. His mandatory office hour checks really help on the rough draft proofreading. Take advantage of it so you can get a good grade on essays. Great teacher. Taking him for 1B next semester

Watkins is a cool, nice guy and all but honestly his class bored me to death. I don't know if it was him, or possibly just the vibe of my particular class, but his lectures were so dry and he makes you work with your peers A LOT which just drags on and he uses the WHOLE session every time. He does give good feedback on essays though

Watkins is the best! He is soo awesome and down to earth! I believe he is the head of the English department. Extremely mellow and very helpful for all of your questions. I had him for 450, 1A, 1B. That pretty much sums it up.
