Will grade you sentence structure unfairly yet, she speaks (lectures), and writes (replies / revisions) with a high frequency of broken English. All course material is over-worded. You have to contact the instructor for concise answers. Requirement tittles do not match up meaning, requirement are referred to by alternate names that are spread out

I had Chao in BUS 180 and I enjoyed her class enough that I wanted to take her again for BUS 221. Most of the work we did was irrelevant and just supposed to make time for Tuesday and Thursday classes. Take her for 180 and not 221.

She was helpful with the material, asked if the class understood before moving on, you can tell she really cares about teaching! Sometimes the material is difficult and students would get frustrated with her. Dr. Chao was very compassionate and flexible with me and allowed me to retake a test, at a time that was best for me, due to family emergency

I had Dr. Chao for bus 180 and honestly I loved her. I mean excel and access aren't too bad and she's pretty helpful and gives extra credit if you tutor your peers. Id take her again definitely.

Chao was really nice. Just pay attention in class, work the problems with her, and do the assignments. There were 3 exams, and she let you use your book during them. She's really helpful too if you have any questions. Attending classes helps you get through the assignments faster and easier.

I like how she is very organized and stay on top of things. She sticks with her syllabus. For the long paper, she divides it into small segments, and each segment dues in a week, so that students won't rush themselves finished a 14-page long essay in a week or less. She is neither an easy grader or a harsh grader. Her lectures are quite lengthy

This is a very easy course. You need to go to class if you aren't very good with excel. There are always three assignments per chapter but you get so many chances to do it that it is easy to get a 100. Just get the Catapult events out of the way and write a short paper and this class is an easy A. She takes attendance.

By far the worst professor in the college of business. I have yet to hear one positive feedback about her and isn''t consistent with her grading when it comes to going off of the rubric she passes out. HORRIBLE.

This was the WORST class that I have ever taken at ISU. She is very RUDE and grades papers very harshly. She also makes students write a 14 page formal at the end of the semester that she grades HARD! I would not recommend this professor at all because she expects students to KNOW everything about the class before starting!!!

Worst teacher in the College of Business. She is extremely rude to students. I absolutely dread coming to her class where half the time is spent working quietly on your papers. Also, her command of the spoken English language is poor at best. And she went to IU.

I was really weary going into the class having read all the reviews on here. But honestly, she's really nice. She is helpful with any questions people ahve. The class really isn't that bad. The main formal report is 13 pages, but you write them piece by piece, so it wasn't really oerwhelming. It's not that bad if you just do the work.

It was an okay class. She definitely posted grades and responded to emails pretty quickly. All of the small assignments were fine, but there was this 30+ page formal report that was pretty ridiculous. The course should only be open to bussines-related majors. I am a CRIM major, and took this course for gen. ed. reqs. IM GLAD ITS OVERRR!!!!!!!!

Please stop making this a requirement, we have WORD and templates now, this is useless torture. I know less about reports now than when I started. No lectures at all, what is this instructor getting paid to do? I got a B and all I did was look at sample reports and made my report look similar. Like I said a WORD template does the same but cheaper.

Mostly looked stuff up on internet, then I found a sample report and made my stuff look like the sample. Don't know what browsing hotels.com or expedia.com has to do with Business report writing? Spent many hours on internet looking and looking and looking... Didn't have time to read book, too busy on internet looking. Avoid this woman!

I hate writing but Dr. Chao is really structured, always prepared, willing to help students and you know what to expect from her. She uses slides a lot to show good and bad writing examples ... gets boring sometimes but this is the nature of the material.
