The lectures are interesting and often really funny. He is a great public speaker. I thought he was so good I took two other classes with him. Just know that his classes aren't easy. Quizzes aren't announced. You have to take notes. Also, you have to study a lot for the tests.

I took this course online. I took all the quizzes twice and watched the videos. They are not mandatory. However, the quizzes will help you on the mid-term and final. Plus, your final grade will be curved based on how well you did relative to the rest of the class and effort you put in. I got an 89 from the mid-term and final, but got an A.

Don't underestimate this class! It's easy to pass, but not easy to get an A. The most annoying thing was that nothing he taught in class was in the exams! What's the point of coming to class then? Exactly. He is funny sometimes and has somewhat interesting lectures, but is kind of a rude and annoying person.

I took his Anthropology G100 course online during the summer semester when courses were condensed into 6 weeks. Although I passed with an A, I had to really read the chapter and not just skim through them. He also grades on a curve.

lectures are scattered and hard to follow. powerpoints he skims thru too fast. rescheduled mid term exam b/c it was initially scheduled during spring break. really? this was pointed out by a student btw. he's tripped out anyway- his students were weirdos too. hated them.

Tough class. Quizzes are unannounced, and most of the questions come from lectures. You have to attend every class, pay good attention to his lectures, and study the book if you want an A. The class was enjoyable and he is very nice guy, but I wouldn't suggest him.

SUPER EASY A! he gives you the study guide with all the answers on it. He wants all his students to pass and let me switch from attending class to the online because of work. Really nice and loves what he does

Took the online class. soooo easy. Skim the chapters then go online and take a short quiz. You can easily find the answers in the book while taking it. And... YOU CAN TAKE THEM TWICE! So there seriously is no way you can not get an A. And the midterm & final are made from questions from the quizzes. Oh and all multiple choice.

LOVE HIM! Great teaching style and very helpful. Anyone who states otherwise is lame. Gives you quizes to take and study before tests and those same questions are on the test. If you have any trouble you can talk to him he will help. Try putting together a study group, it really helps and he will be way more willing to help if you have one :)

You can tell he loves teaching. The quizzes are open book, but you need to study so if you get stuck you know where to look for the answer in a reasonable amount of time. As for the grading on a curve..try answering some questions in class so he gets to know your name and then maybe if you're a couple points off you get those for participation.

His class is very hard. The quizzes are pretty easy but the midterm and the final are extremely hard. He said he was going to curve our grade but he did not. =( There is no study guides. I never figured out what kind of questions he would ask. I do not recommend him!

Best teatcher EVER! He has a dry sense humor and loves anthropology, so he makes it interesting to follow. He made me wish I were an anthropology major. Just do the work he assigns and you'll be fine.

Took the online class. It's self-study course w/10 quizes, midterm and final. You r on your own. No study guide or detailed syllabus. Quizes were easy, midterm and final were not. If you read the book, you'll do fine, but there is a lot of material to learn. Instructor is OK, but he doesn't tell you your grade.

I have taken both Physical and Cultural anthropology from Drover, and I wonder why his rating is so low. I often skipped class, never read the text book, and just worked entirely off what I remembered from notes and I still got an A in one course and a B in the other. Drover is very passionate and that helps him get his point across to the students
