Comment:

Overall great professor, until she gives you your final grade. She makes sure that only so many students get an A in the class. I had a 98% before the final exam, and left the class with a 93% after getting a solid 87% on my final. She gave me a 128/150 on my participation grade and dropped my final grade to a B+ by one point. A little harsh.

Rieger is a nice lady who sometimes says some real crazy stuff... however in the end she is very understanding and she adds an appeal to what in most respects should be a boring class. Would definitely recommend her!

Very easy teacher but not really open to other opinions that are not her own. She has your write rough drafts and she checks them but then takes points off the final copy on things she never mentioned to you. Moderate amount of reading.

She is really easy! You write rough drafts and then she checks them and you can rewrite them. Not alot to read. Overall very easy class. She is boring at times and is not very smart but easy grader! Take her for research and writing!

Dr. Rieger is great!! She's willing to help you whenever with whatever you need! Discussions in class are open end and easy to participate in. Quizzes after readings are extremely easy if you read. Lots of peer review. Easy A!

loved world classics bc of this teacher! we read interesting material like the kite runner and the kitchen gods wife. she had little quizzes each class to keep people on board but she is very helpful and you can tell she loves what she does. i would def. take her again!

I loved this teacher! She is definitely worth taking and is ALWAYS willing to help. She will read and reread rough drafts. This class was very interesting and i learned a lot!

As someone with an extensive background in writing I felt her constant review of basic citations a bit overkill and boring, but when it comes to her reading your writing she is fair and incredibly helpful. She's also just really sweet and fun. She really cares about students

Rieger is an absolute sweetheart. Not many, if any teachers will look at one or more rough drafts for every essay. You can do extremely well in the class if you want to. There is no reason why anyone should do bad. She's wonderful. I've had her for CWI and II and plan on taking her classics class.

She can't articulate at all. She gives random pop quizzes on the reading assignments at night, so you dont read your screwed. I didn't really like her, didnt get anything out her class.
