If you are going into any medical field, you will not learn from him. Does not use book, drops tests and gives full credit, gives a comprehensive test guide to ensure an easy A. Often has a short temper and has a total disregard for teaching. The only thing he has going for him is his looks, but once you get over that, he's just an empty canvas.

Made an A, grade on a curve, provides outlined notes in advance for every chapter and gives a review outline for test. 3 tests, 1 lab and Exit. Never had a lab, hard to reach outside of class, good teacher, material requires study and effort teacher makes it digestable and curve helps, wished he had taught the lab; everyone was given 100

Took Dr Lowery for A&P I & II. He's a great guy, teaches the material until he's sure you know it, and gives a great study guide. Grades on a curve too, which helps everyone. Doesn't hurt that he's so good looking either! If you need A&P, definitely take him!

I have taken him for both A&P I & II and I like his teaching style. I have never read the book but still made A's. He gives a good study guide before the test. I will say he is hard to get a hold of outside of class if you have any questions.

I had Mr. Lowery for both A&P 1 and 2. He is hard, but you must study. You can not just go by the notes in class, you must READ the book. If you do not read you will fail! I got an A in both classes, because I studied my ass off!

Dr. Lowery had a way of making information very confusing. He strayed from the subject & talked about personal stories. It's very important to take detailed notes to do well on exams. Often, had to throw out test questions because the "correct" answer was not what we had in our notes. Lots of writing in this class! I'm trying someone new for A&P 2.

I will say that he doesn't create his test questions from the notes he gives in class.... they are grabbed from some other source so you really have to know your stuff. You can't just study your study guide, that won't help 100%. i won't talk smack about him at all.. i will just give the best advice i can on the class!

The comments made on 1/9/06 are rediculous!Dr. Lowery gives a very detailed overview of the basic information you will need to progress on any board test or career program.Did perfectly fine on my entrance exam!I highly doubt that a DOCTOR needs an extra salary. He is extremely fair, can be challenging, and understands that this class is a pre-req.

Whoever wrote bad comments about this professor does not know what they are talking about. I took Dr. Lowery for A&P I and II and made a B in the first one and an A in the second one. He is great and knows the material. Highly recommended.

This man should not teach. The class is not challenging and when it comes to board exams, no one will know a damn thing on the exam because this man gives answers and takes the easy way out when it comes to teaching. Easy A for students = easy salary pay for prof. If I were you I would take another professor for your career sake.

Don't listen to the fools complaining about this teacher. He is very fair and easy to understand. Dr.Lowery teaches what you NEED to know for real life test and clinical application. All you have to do is come to class once a week, take notes, and follow the outline he gives you. Get an "A", end of story. Awesome teacher.

He thinks he something he's totally not, like he's the hottest thing on earth. His teaching jumps all over the place and he's way to broad when it comes to explaining terms. Did not learn anything what-so-ever. Very boring too. I don't recommend him. If he can't make time for his students then he doesnt have to teach!

Awesome professor- knows what he is teaching you, his study guides are great for review for the test.Stays after class if you need help or goes over it in class until everyone understands it. Points out questions that are nursing board questions things that are really important.Keeps you until the end of class but at least you get what you pay for!

Great teacher! The person complaining about him giving points for people staying the entire class should be quiet. They're referring to him giving a test on Halloween night, and then following it with lecture. Quit complaining! What did you pay for the class for?!?! Just because you didn't study and got a lousy grade doesn't make him a bad teacher!

It sounds like someone is looking for a free ride. Studying is required, this includes opening the book and understanding the material on the test reviews. Most of us can manage to have a life and live up to our obligations of attending the classes we register for. Why should you expect to leave class early and get full credit for the class?
