I took endoc and phys. I took her straight from gen bio. It was stressful HOWEVER, i have never learned more in my life. I have spoken with many med schools and i guaruntee you they ALL KNOW doctor Nolan. She teaches her class to benefit you, and if you dont like her, I have to say i really dont think you are cut out for meducal school. Shes great

Dr. Nolan is amazing. Alot of students complain but I don't understand why. She has a high standard but thats because she cares about her students. If your a procrastinator you won't do well in her class (or you might?). She isn't a blow off teacher thats for sure, and you learn so much. If your planning on going to Med. Unless you?ve had outstanding training and already know everything then it?s impossible to learn anything from her mess people call a lecture. She talks at a hundred miles an hour. She?s heartless, angry, has mood swings and you will see your grade depend on what mood she?s in. Unpleasant to be around. Wants to destroy your academic record.

I graduated from StMU in '99 and had Dr. Nolan for several classes and as my Honors Thesis adviser. She was unequivocally the finest teacher I encountered in the bio program, mainly because she was one of the most rigourous. If you work hard, it WILL pay off. I entered the MD/PhD program at Yale after StMU and was well-prepared thanks to Dr. N.

Lots of homework. Essays and comprehensive on all tests and labs. Lots of quizzes! If you love quizzes almost every class then this is the class for you!!! She took off for every small mistake I made. Serious note-taking is needed, Tutors, group meetings, and don't forget to speak to her -it may help (a small bit).
