DO NOT TAKE ACC203 AT SIGNAL HILL! Streaming the lecture is bad for two reasons: 1. Your questions can only be answered over email. (And she takes a while to respond) 2. The audio and visual of the stream cuts out all the time. The class is hard enough and Hylton is a tough grader. It is funny to see her roast students with their phones out though.

Comment:

First test52%, 2nd exam88% and I studied a week, 3rd82%. I never got As on Wiley quizzes. Show improvement, and she'll curve your grade as she did to mine because I should've had a B-. The journal entries from lectures are reused on the test. Use Wiley for practice problems. Total 220 points and got exempt from final. Also, DO your Wiley HW!!

Does not explain material well in the class is Extremely rude to students. If you come late she will try to call you out in front of the whole class, if you ask a question she will respond very mean to you. Does not help the students at all 0/10 ratings, I dont even know how this person is teaching AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Prof. Hylton is probably the best example of your typical college professor. You will need to work hard on your own, as expected. She gives handouts that are good representations of what comes out in the exam. She CAN be blunt, and will call you out in class, but it's more funny than anything. Treats everyone like adults.

Terrible Professor, very rude towards students at lecture. When you ask her a question she becomes very impulsive and mean, does not help at all and speaks very fast. Very harsh grader 0/10 ratings.

Go to lecture, she highlights key concepts that will be on the exam! In-class handouts are similar to journal entries on the exam. Study Wiley and review the textbook chapters, you will not pass if you do not read and understand the chp! Study and practice, you'll get a B. She curves grades at the endA! Besides that, don't expect to get help

Hylton is a very rude professor. She will randomly call you out in a lecture class of 100 people to answer a question and humiliate you if you get it wrong. She gives no partial credit on the journal entries so if you get one part wrong, the entire thing is wrong. I studied so hard and managed to get a C (good enough for me). Be prepared to work.

Homework and a quiz every week. You really need the textbook and teach yourself. Professor Hylton's lecture is concise and may not include some knowledge that will show on the test. She has a great passion for accounting though.

Took her twice, here's my advice: 1 Review Wiley, not only the Hw and quizes but the chapter hw. The tests will have a tank ?s from each area. Be prepared to spend HOURS on this 2 Very rude to students 3 test#2pain 4 You need a bit of luck: all test ?s come from a test bank that the Act Dept uses, some test versions are MUCH harder than others

I feel like she gets a bad rep, but honestly you just have to put in the work. She gives you all the tools, you just have to use them. I found the class interesting, but it was definitely a lot of reading and a lot of practicing. Especially in the online class, it's easy to fall behind but all the tools are given to you to do well
