Comment:

Craig does a great job making loose parameters with specific instructions, so it leaves you at a lot of control as to what you can do and want to do. Whatever you want to do, Craig will go out of his way and help you come up with the right solution or exploration to your ideas.

Comment:

Great way to learn painting. You will learn how to paint and you will apply those skills onto your own, so do not expect to come out painting renaissance pieces after or during this class. Craig does a great job explaining how to use paint properly, how to apply techniques to your own skills, and many great tidbits of info.

Comment:

Craig is a great person who treats the introductory drawing class perfectly. He does not expect you to be able to make a masterpiece in the end, but he is expecting you to be inspired by the things he teaches you and shows you. Make sure to soak it all in and enjoy it all because he truly is a great professor who cares about art.

Really fun class. He leads the class through the basics (pretty structured) and experiment with a lot of different techniques and mediums. More lee way is given as the class progresses. I always look forward to this class. Chill guy, straight forward, honest, but he grows you because of it.

crits can be excruciatingly boring--but one on one he's very helpful and cool. upper div usually has a few assignments--but mostly he works with you on whatever you're doing.
