In class stuff for english 112 was very boring. We were assigned things to read and then would spend the whole class (which was Tues Thurs) discussing what we read. He was very helpful on the papers, which were excellent assignments and he had us discuss papers in class, which was very helpful.

He co-taught this class with another professor, what I didn't like was that he went off on weird tangents and valued his own opinion more than that of the students. What I did like was that he was willing to help us out a lot with our papers and everything.

Terrible teacher. Seems nice, but class is a waste of time. His grading made no sense, and he was very defensive about what he gave. The four smartest and most vocal people in the class did not get A's, but the people who did little did. His grading is unfare, don't take him.

I agree, in his class you will do a lot of pointless exercises, but his assignments are actually technical papers, or related to them. Granted he does grade things inconsistancy, but common people, it is hard for him to remember everybody and what he graded last time.

This was by far the worst English class I've ever taken. It was supposed to be tech. writing, but ended up as a discussion of philosophy. Dr. Jernigan was also EXTREMELY inconsistent with his grading. I learned absolutely nothing in his class. WORST EVER!
