The best math teacher ever. He very understanding and cares for his student . Mullins such a caring and understandable teacher he like to see everyone pass if you fail his class its because you was being lazy.

Comment:

Amazing professor, he make sure that you feel comfortable when taking his class. If you're a nerdy sci-fi person or watch a lot 80-90s movie then this is your profess, but anyway. Homeworks and quizzes/tests are easy, IF you study, but if not then you going to have some hard time in this class. Just remember, study make everything easy.

I took him for my 1st semester for int. algebra and I am now taking him for college math for my 2nd semester. He is one of the best caring professors that I have encountered since high school. You should show up to class, he will go over any Q's and help you out. The math lab might be your best friend if u struggle in math like myself. TAKE HIM!!

Comment:

Dan truly cares about all his students and wants everyone to succeed. One downside, he uses an online program for all tests and homework. He has four tests and a final and will drop one of the lower grades for the final. If you struggle in math, this might not be a good fit as a lot of it is doing online work yourself.

Professor Mullins is probably one of my favorite teachers by far, he was super helpful when i was struggling in his class, and he went out of his way to help me. I would definitely take him again, 10/10 recommend him. Also knows his information and knows how to tech it clearly.

This class made me appreciate math a bit more but unfortunately, lots of people cheated in this class in order to pass the exams using an application called Mathway they ended up with As on their finals while people who studied didnt end up with good of grades. He needs to confiscate phones prior to exams in order to minimize cheating

Dan is a caring Professor, many of my classmates dont think so. He truly tried to help everyone pass. He gave extra credit for test which are 10 points. At the end he allows you to retake a test you score low on. Not to mention, he goes over questions missed on test or quiz. Just study and youll be okay. Dont expect to not study and get an A.

The Professor is great! Just be ready to learn math. I took it in the summer and the summer term is shorter than the other terms so I had to crunch a lot of information in. It was hard, but just put time in the class and study and youll be okay. There are pop quizzes like 4 and test are pretty standard. Just study and youll pass.

I usually don't do these but, "Dan" gets off topic too quickly and even if you doesn't reach the lesson he still expects us to do the homework. Math center is going to be your friend if you don't understand the material he goes over and for the most part you don't, has pop quizzes. Overall wouldn't recommend.

When I first came into the class he introduced himself like this "My name is Mr. Mullins but i would much rather you guys call me Dan. Mr. Mullins sounds like really formal and what old people address me." From that day I knew I would like the class. He's super energetic and funny and he would help you pass in any way. he definitely cares. i didnt think i was going to pass this class because of a few bad test grades, but professor Dan knew i tried my hardest and helped me believe in myself enough to pull through. Never been so proud of myself honestly. i will be taking my next math class with this professor.

You are graded on 4 test and a final he drops your lowest test grade and replaces it with your final. Homework every week and if you complete the homework 48 hours in advance you will receive extra credit. Everything is fairly easy and if you do not understand a topic he will be MORE THAN HAPPY to explain it to you. Funny guy with dad joke humor :)

He's a great human being for sure but if you're iffy at math he may not be the best choice. I loved having him but people in my class struggled greatly. I was a math major for a bit so his class came naturally to me but I know others had a hard time. If you have a solid foundation of math take him. He's literally the nicest teacher at Valencia tbh.

Dan is an awesome teacher. He tries to make class fun and bareable. He really takes the time to know his students and actually cares about them as human beings. Dan is just an awesome professor to have and people should really take his classes because he is very thorough and will take the extra time to help you understand the content.

Mullins is an amazing professor that cares about your grade and will take the time outside of class and sometimes in class to make sure everyone understands. The homework may seem daunting due to the sheer amount but it can be completed fairly quickly and a majority of the questions on the hw show back up on the exams. A one of a kind professor!!

Mr. Mullins was a very caring instructor. He is fast paced so be ready. As long as you actually put in work and study, you will do just fine. If you don't understand something just ask him and he will gladly go over something in class.

He is so fast paced. You will fail if you arent good at math like I am. Gives you so much homework, modules, quizzes, you wont have time even to have a social life. He talks too much about irrelevant stuff and not about math. A bunch of us failed and a lot withdrew. Doesnt talk about the problems. Do yourself a favor. Dont take him.
