He was an incredibly nice and easy professor. Sweet old man who doesn't like class to last the whole time, so you most likely will only be there for about an hour or less. He is a simple grader and as long as you are there for the day you present you'll be alright. He likes to tell stories and talk about his puppies and his wife.

The absolute man! Dr. O'Neill is very personable and really cares about his students. Give 3 speeches and then you don't have to show up once you finish. Easiest A I've ever gotten in my life. If you have the opportunity to take O'Neill, he is a must have at YSU... A++++

The absolute man! Dr. O'Neill was the neatest professor I've ever taken. Very easy as long u give your 3 speeches on time, you are guaranteed an A. Once you finish your 3rd speech, you don't have to show up to class anymore. He is a must have at YSU. Easiest class I've ever taken in college or high school. Love him.. A+++

Prepare for your speeches more than a day in advance. The online quizzes are a little rough but if you skim through the chapters and know where information is before you take the quiz then you should do fine. You can use the book on the quizzes. After you give your 3rd speech, you don't have to go back to class.

he is one of my fav in YSU, so amazing and down to earth I took him in summer if he finished the lecture for the day we leave early. he will help you whatever you bring him. 2 online exams you need to read his book to answer them but if you did a good presentation he will ignore your score in exams even if you get F. i came out with A. TAKE HIM !!!

I LOVE DR. O'NEILL! This man is a fantastic teacher. Amazing guy, and all around knowledgeable on almost everything. A very open-minded individual who is willing to help you with anything you bring him. Class is easy, tests are online, and he grades the speeches leniently. Smart guy, and wonderful teacher. TAKE HIM IF YOU CAN!

I took him for communication studies in the summer. The easiest class ever. We did three presentations. You get to choose your topic but he tells you if he wants it to be informative speech or persuasive. After that there are tests which they were easy too. I got A and I forgo to say I am international student I am horrible with speaking.

You wont learn a thing but you will get an A. If youre "that kid" thats afraid of doing speeches or if your just trying to get an easy A, then you're good to go. It doesnt even matter if you get D's on all your tests/presentations, somehow you end up everyone ALWAYS ends up with an A....

Very easy class! O'Neill is a great guy. Very friendly. We ended up only doing two speeches, an informative and a persuasive. There are online quizzes, though. You also have to review one of your speeches. It was completely worth taking this class in the summer. We even got out a week early! HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

O'Neill is such a good guy. He helps you understand the material. Gets a bit boring, but he is more aware than you'd think! pick a topic you can get 2 speeches out of. Easy, easy class. Just watch out for the online quizzes. Buy access code, not book. If you want a day off, ask about his puppies. they really are adorable!! Great man. :)

Straight up cool teacher..been at ysu for 28 years and has grown to teach you what you need to know and then letting you out of class early...basically do what needs to be done and turn everything in for your speeches and you will get the A!!

He is my favorite proff! I try to get a class with him every semester. He often talks about his dogs and if they happen to have puppies it is like the birth of a child, and classes will be canceled. He is very nice and knows the material he is teaching.
