Comment:
Aberbach is an amazing professor. He's pretty much always available if you need extra feedback, tea, or just want to talk to him. He allows students to rewrite any paper in which they are disappointed before the end of the course. However, this course's reading in particular, although it is all incredibly interesting, took up seven of my weekends.

Comment:
Aberbach is a great professor. This course is similar to a senior year high school course as in essays written in that style would easily get B+. Examinations were super stress-free (open book) and all essays were take home. A lot of reading is required but you can easily get a good grade by skimming through and attending class.

Comment:
Aberbach is simply amazing, especially for First-Year students. A true scholar in Jewish literature. Extremely reading intensive. Does a great job of summarizing the readings and speaking slowly enough as to take good notes. All tests and essays were open-book, which made assessments very stress free. Participate and the class will be amazing

Aberbach is highly intelligent . But for everyone to rate him so positively is astounding. When you tell him your concerns over a lack of structure, or any other question about assignments, he responds with "don't worry about it." Ambiguity is his favourite pastime. He's burnt out. The lack of clarity about all things in his course is unacceptable.

Aberbach is a sweet sweet man who is very interested in his students. The topic is also very interesting. His syllabus, and his lectures do lack structure, so if you're someone who lives for organization I would not recommend. If you can go with the flow, enroll out of interest in charismatics.

Probably the easiest class I've ever had. Prof. Aberbach is very patient and sweet and knows his material very well. sometimes his material feels redundant though. if you make even a tiny bit of effort in this class, you can get an A.

I have taken 3 of his Jewish Studies classes. He is the sweetest man. He is extremely helpful and a generous marker. All of my grades have been based off of in class essays. You are given the questions at least a week in advance and permitted to literally write it before and bring in your answer. I would suggest taking any class he teaches.
