Professor McGee was very rude when responding to emails, and was not forgiving at all for any mistakes. Homework assignments very confusing. Reading assigned from two different textbooks but over the exact same material. Would definitely NOT recommend this professor

Overall, hes a good professor. Very funny and caring towards students. I simply didnt enjoy his class, but it wasnt the worst thing in the world. Hes very late with posting assignments, so expect delays. Otherwise, hes very smart and knows what hes talking about.

WORST PROFESSOR EVER!! Never emailed me back, very unprofessional, won't post assignments on time yet expects us to do it when it isn't even posted! Very irresponsible, makes excuses for not posting assignments but there are other reviews on here from four years ago saying the same thing. He just sucks and I do not recommend him at all

Most irresponsible teacher I have ever had. EXPECT him to NOT respond to you calls, email, or even be in his office during office hours. DOES NOT grade assignments in a timely manner. He is NOT on top of his class as he neglects his online students. He SHOULD NOT be teaching even though he may know the subject matter he DOES NOT guide his students.

*DO NOT TAKE ONLINE WITH HIM* I've emailed him 10 times in 4 months and reviewed 2 replies. Called his office and left a message with no reply. He posts tests online with zero notice or date in syllabus, under a tab and 2 folders (not easy to find), this last test he didn't even announce the test was up. Sometimes doesn't post assignment.

Information in blackboard is really screwed up. The wrong syllabus, the wrong assignment dates, and the wrong book questions are there. I don't know how he expects students to do well if he gives the wrong information and when told about it doesn't correct it. Not once did he email me back. Would not recommend. Needs to care more about the students

I really enjoyed this class! Mr. McGee was very nice and was easy to understand and listen to. The only things that were rough about this class was that the tests are HARD. Yes, he gives you study guides... but the tests do not really stick to them. Also, he has a habit of cancelling class and not telling anyone, which is really annoying.

McGee was one of my favorite professors in my college experience. He is knowledegeable, he is not boring, and his lectures are accurate. He is specific with how he will grade things and what he expects of you in class. I reccomend this professor to all of my peers. (I took 122 with this teacher as well)

He is an amazing professor. The way he teaches history makes it extremely exciting and he slips in fun facts here and there that keep everyone interested. I couldn't tune him out even if I tried because he is so interesting. The tests are easy if you study and his other assignments are easy a long as you do the work.

Literally the WORST professor I've ever had the displeasure of taking. He NEVER responds to his email, NEVER gives you back your grades, & due dates are never clear. Cancels class all the time or has substitutes. Very rude and condescending. And the class is SO boring.

McGee was my first College History Professor. I love Civil War history and it was great having a Professor who loves his subject. He was easy to talk to and always made me smile. Class is easy as long as you pay attention, take notes, don't ask stupid questions! He is great at explaining things! Can't wait for fall to have him again!!

Interesting stories. Really knows his subject. VERY strict. Turn OFF your cell phone. Didn't use text but used online add-on frequently. Quizzes fairly easy. Pay attention in lecture & read online notes to succeed.

Took McGee for West Civ I & II, and American Hist I & II. Great teacher, Extremely knowledgeable about the subjects covered. Guidelines Clearly stated. Pay attention in class, take notes and you'll be fine. Reading required is fairly easy, not to long. Very informative Professor. Highly Recommend.

I took 2 semesters of U.S. History with McGee and it was not an easy class. His lectures are interesting but he is very strict (he will kick you out if your phone goes off) and expects you to keep up with assignments on your own. If you want an easy A I don't recommend McGee. If you don't mind spending a lot of time on this class, than go for it.

I took Mcgee for Western Civ I & II and I can say that it was by far the most enjoyable history classes I've ever taken. All of the notes from his lectures are posted online and are easily accessible, and he even includes study guides for all of his tests. This professor is a gem and I'd gladly suggest him to anyone who is passionate about history
