I took at least 3 courses with Riess and worked with her on some side projects. Always got A's. Here's the deal if you want to do well in her class: find your way into her good graces and for heaven's sake, stay there! Otherwise, you can kiss an A goodbye. You'll notice immediately that she is a very erratic person. Follow my advice; you'll pass.

Hard! Says that a word not spelled correctly in technical writing is an automatic F, yet her notes and final test had words not spelled correctly. During extra work did not improve grade. Many questions on final test not on her notes or in textbook.

Crazy. She sent out an email saying "Examples in the book are often incorrect" Then why are you using that book considering it's an online class? She's sarcastic about everything! She's not helpful and I got low grades on a big paper because I didn't initial my name...I'm not the only student struggling either.

She's insane and has stereotyped many of my classmates. One guy once said he hated cats on the first day of class with no idea that she loved cats so. He ended up failing her class and did his work like everyone else. I knew him he was normally a good student. Also her accent is totally fake. I've heard her talking to herself while I was walking down the hall and she was in her classroom alone. She had the Texas accent. Crazy cat laday.
