Mills is amazing! You definitely have to work for your grade, but he gives very specific feedback and helps you through it IF YOU ASK. His lectures are very clear and well thought out. He wants nothing but success for his students. It was a pleasure to be a student in his last class.

I had Professor Mills in my first year of college, and I got to say that he is one of the best English professors at Norco College. If you struggle with English or having a hard time writing or organizing your essays, talk to him, and he will assist you. Take him, you wont regret taking any of his English classes. I love you, Mr. Mills!

Professor Mills, you're a great guy. But as an English major, I was expecting a lot more writing in your class rather than just tests. It was hard for me to understand the type of tests that you structured and it would have been nice if you've offered handouts for the exams t would have helped students pass instead of seeing half the class fail.

Mills is a great professor I can tell. Unfortunately, the essays would be more complicated because it requires unity, organization, clarity, etc. in order to achieve a good grade as well. Students have many opportunities to take his class because he is very helpful and approachable in order to write your essays proficiently in a timely manner.

Mills is a wonderful professor that I had him in Fall 2017. Even though I couldnt thank him enough to be an extraordinary person who is dedicated in teaching English. Also, I love his sense of humor that engages students to be interactive in his class. It makes me become enthusiastic in learning English. I literally pass both English 60A & 60B.

I was pretty deceived with all the good reviews saying that he is really easy, but he isn't. I Took this class during a short 6-week period and it was just a test heavy class. Your grade is based just on critical thinking exams along with poetry and one essay based on story he wrote. If you're a great test taker, take him. And if not, avoid.

There not much workload in his class, but his exams are fair expect on his last Critical Thinking exam which was all fill in the blank instead of half multiple choice like the 1st CT exam. I would be cautious during office hours and emails because he can criticize you for not getting/understanding something right.

Mills is awesome! I watch movies differently now, searching for motifs! Whenever I listen to people arguing, I know which logical fallacy is being used! I also look at poems differently now. Also, I became a better liar by using the terms he taught the class (; Take Mills, you won't regret it! I view the world differently now. Thank you Mills!

If you ever get the opportunity to take his class, I totally recommend that you should! He is clear with his teaching and is always there to help you if you do not understand something. After taking his class I have a whole new outlook on writing. There are a lot of terms, but it isn't so much that it's overwhelming. I loved this class!

Mills is truly a blessing in disguise. If you ever need help he is there for you even if you aren't in his class anymore. He is the only professor that will teach you the correct way to write essays. He will help make your writing college level ready. He doesn't believe in grades or textbooks. His class is pass or no pass.

He is a tough grader but it is only because we actually wants you to learn not like other professors. It is hard to find a professor who cares about your writing. His life advice is great if you ever need any help he is there for you every step of the way. Also he doesn't believe in textbooks which is a plus or grades. It's simple pass or no pass.

Mills is a great professor. He is funny , gives great feedback and actually cares about you and your education. There isn't another professor like him on campus, he is one of a kind. He genuinely wants to help you better your writing but you have to put forth the effort. If you aren't willing to put forth the effort you won't gain any knowledge.

The worst part of the class is trying to register for it; his popularity is a testament to the quality of his teaching. Insanely intelligent, funny, and keeps the class invested 100% of the time. You will be hard-pressed to find a better professor on this campus.

He is a good respected prof. However, I am a visual learner but he a verbal person: giving assignment, essays, and feedback vocally. I prefer teachers who likes to go over the entire draft and lab work by giving written feedbacks on them and doesn't take 1-2 weeks for our essay to be graded. Nonetheless, his reading are engaging and interesting.
