I took Sociology as a Profession online and it was not hard. Dr. Steele was opened to helping me and was great at timely email responses. I would definitely take one of his classes online.

For an intro class, his tests were extremely difficult. I took his class online and I would not recommend to anyone. You can not review your quiz submissions because he set it to be one question at a time, and he doesn't curve. So if you end class with an 89.99 as I did, you will end up with a B (as stated in his syllabus)

Comment:
I took his online sociology intro class and it was not too difficult, discussion boards and internet assignments are fairly easy and not too time-consuming. YOU HAVE TO READ THE CHAPTERS TO PASS HIS EXAMS. I thought I could fly by with a quick skim but he doesn't let you go back once you have submitted an answer.

He cares about his students but the quizzes and test are very difficult. Your final grade is base only on the midterm exam and final exam. Discussions dont contribute to your final grade.

opposite of anything and everything you'd want in a good class. He thinks highly of himself and is condescending to students. Spends more time monitoring lates and sweating small stuff than being helpful

Great professor. Thought provoking class. Some say his tests are tough, welcome to college. Some say he gives too many assignments, yea you have to work. It's not a breeze but it's far from too difficult. He inspires you to think and can hold a great debate.

Nice professor and willing to help but his tests are extremely tough and account for most of your grade. It's only a midterm and final and they are both cumulative. We had little to no review on them and the in class lectures didn't help because we always got off topic with students arguing. Oh and daily quizzes.

Comment:
Although Dr. Steele is nice, he is the worst professor in this department. He is extremely OCD and watches the minutes you are late for class and writes down when you leave to go to the bathroom. He is overall a dull teacher. His class reminded me of high school in comparison to the other professors that have discussion based classes.

He was always very nice and he knew what he was talking about and if you actually listened to his lectures they were interesting. His exams were really hard though, so make sure you study! I would not suggest taking his hybrid class but maybe take his class on campus or online.

I loved Dr. Steele, he is the greatest assest to the Sociolgy Dept. He is very helpful, knowledgeable and an all around good guy. His class isn't easy but they aren't extremely hard. Be prepared to do some reasonable amount of work. I would take him again if he taught more classes.

A nice enough guy, and the course was easy. However, he is so liberal left that it's hard to take; a bit too sensitive for my taste. Just be warned.

Very clear about what is required in his syllabus. Very willing to help. I took his course online and enjoyed it. The tests were difficult and timed so I didn't do so well on them but with all the other assignments I managed to get a B in the class. I would recommend him.
