so my opinion is a similar to below. it was really fustrating bc she doesnt utilize her time very well as a prof. easily gets caught up in having conversation w students. lectures are light. which leads to, we end up having to work at home bc theres too much side convo. she is nice and calm though.

Shes a really nice teacher who definitely will help you out in your drawings. Her lectures are not that interesting , but shes super chill that you can listen to music when you draw which is good. Just show up to class and finish your projects. I learned alot from drawing and thats not my major . Take her class

Great teacher, doesnt lecture much, this class is not really taught she just kind of gives advice, but you do not really are taught how to pain specific things, but she gives demos so thats helpful. Expensive materials!!

She seems like a very interesting person, but I found it difficult to connect with her. Her class is quite good, but her main focus will be on some of the more advanced students at different parts of the semester. Her advice on career paths is very valuable, and she doesn't seem judgmental if the class doesn't work out for you.

Descent class, but made art class very stressful, and intense instead of fun. *Very expensive class to enroll; although a textbook is not required, but materials could cost over fifty bucks!!!

I took her class in Fall semester, and I have to say she did a good job for providing great information about Art in Introduction to Art. I know her lecture notes are extensive and boring, but it was satisfactory. You don't need to buy a book for lecture. She gives out outlines for tests, and museum report. Take her. She's very nice.

Took this class in Spring. The class is easy but the lectures are so boring. She takes too much time on one topic. She is nice as a person. She does offer extra credit. You have to do one Museum Report by going to an art museum. If you love art, this is your class. Exams are easy. Study the study guides. No need to read book if you attend class.

Comment:

She is an amazing artist and professor! I studied drawing at an arts school for four years, but learned more in one semester with Mrs. Davidson. She is very helpful and friendly, and a pleasure to have known. She opens up your eyes to new avenues of drawing and creative expression, and I hope to take many more classes of hers in the future.

Highly recommend. Learned a lot from her; would take her again for her other courses. Hadn't drawn since I was a child and she helped restore my passion for drawing, as well as my confidence in myself. Loved her!

Ms Davidson is not a bad basic drawing teacher. She lectures her class very well and organize her materials, and she helps you draw specific areas, where you have to draw required objects. You need drawing material requirements in order for you to start drawing in her class otherwise you will fail and do nothing at all. She's a nice teacher.

SHE IS THE BEST PAINTING TEACHER FULLERTON HAS. SHE IS HELPFUL AND VERY PATIENT. IF YOUR WORK IS WRONG OR CAN BE BETTER SHE WILL KINDLY SUGGEST YOU SHOULD CHANGE IT. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED EVEN BY FACULTY.

This class is really easy, but don't take it if you're not interested in art. She makes everything easy to understand. She narrates the lives of the artists and analyzes their work. It's interesting if you actually care.

First of all, DO NOT BUY THE BOOK! You never ever use it. All you need to do is stay awake and take notes. Every lecture is just a powerpoint, just try and remember the pictures etc. The hardest thing about this class is simply staying awake! Do that and take notes, maybe review them before the test and you got yourself an A.

The work isn't difficult assuming you have the time to go over it and make it better. She's very helpful when you're learning how to draw. I improved my drawing skills dramatically while taking this class. But she's not an easy teacher. Turning in a project late will get you marked down a whole letter grade and she's a very tough grader.

She does not tolerate shenanigans and will become annoyed very easily with the slightest disobedience. I always turned in quality work on time and a B was the lowest possible grade she could give me.
