Comment:
Professor Muldavin is the kindest teacher. She is very involved in the lab, and she sets for clear grading criteria for quizzes and midterm. In the final lab report at the end, she emphasizes proper grammar and format, but as long as you follow that, identifying the bacteria shouldn't be stressful. I absolutely loved her class.

Great professor and a very easy grader. Presents material in different ways and works really hard to make it understandable for everyone. Very happy I took this class with her.

I took Dr. Muldavin in the fall of 2016, micro lab. She was awesome. ITs a hard class, but study hard and you will learn everything. She expects a lot out of her students!

I took Dr Muldavin's microbiology lab in the fall of 2016. She's a scientist, so expect her to always be calm and composed. DON'T ever throw your gloves in the wrong trash bin, and if you are disposing of a test tubes make sure to put it in the disposal rack! I heard other students complain that she wasn't clear about papers/essays, but that's it.

Everything on test and quizzes is in the online Micro Lab Manual provided. She's a tough grader, but super sweet, caring and really knows what she's doing. She's willing to help in anyway if you ask for it. Worked the hardest for this class this semester.

It is up to us as the student to review the information in both the lab manual and our notes. If you do not attend class there is no chance of being able to pass since her quizzes are based on what you did during lab.

Worst class ever. I have already taken BIO 1492 with a tough teacher. So this was my second time I had already knew some materials, but she just made it impossible to pass. She isn't clear on the subject doesn't help her quizzes are now where near on the material we were studying, do bad on a quiz & throws off your whole grade. AWFUL DO TAKE HER

Wow, where do I start. Her exams are ridiculously hard, it's like she doesn't even want you to pass. She warns us that she has her minor in English, so that's why she'll take off points for even ONE letter misplaced in a difficult word to spell. She's not clear on what you need to study for the quizzes. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

Professor Muldavin is a great instructor. However, YOU need to put the time and effort into the class to get a good grade. The way that her quizzes are formatted helps you retain the info and they will help you excel on the midterm and the lab report (paper). Make sure you know ALL the info on the subject matter because she will ask about it.

AMAZING! She is one of the best instructors I have had. You will have weekly quizzes from the material covered in the previous week. If you put some effort into studying you will do well in the class. You will use your atlas and lab manual so get both. This is THE teacher to take for Micro Lab! You wont regret it.

study your tail off for the midterm. It is all short answers which requires you to memorize all the lab experiments and results. CNM chooses to use bacteria that gives confusing results so beware. She is a good instructor and is willing to answer any questions. She gives a lot of info that will be on the quizzes orally instead of on the board.

She is a very hard grader. I studied all the time but still struggled to earn this B. She marks off for every little thing. She is very standoffish and not very friendly. I would hope that you take another professor for this course.

She jumps around a lot and expects you to follow along and understand everything although she hasn't really explained it.She is good in lab, but NOT A GOOD TEACHER FOR LECTURE. NOT RECOMENDED this profesor for Micro-lecture.she is very nice lady and that is it.HORRIBLE LECTURE TEACHER

Had this instructor a few years back. She was a stickler for many things, expected you to know your stuff and did not spoon feed the class info. This was annoying...HOWEVER, I am now working in the medical field in an area that exposes me to many, many organisms I cannot see. Thank you for being a stickler, it has kept me and my patients safe.

Had Dr. M for micro lab, and she is super nice and has a great sense of humor, but she is tough. Biggest thing to worry about in her lab is the weekly quiz; some were easy, some were brutal, but I still managed to pull an A. If you ask her exactly what you need to study, she'll tell you, but if you don't ask, she won't.

I believe this lady changed textbooks and did not alter her lectures or overhead slides (seriously - no powerpoint) from the old book. Did not provide slides to us. Final was ridiculously easy compared to tests - inconsistent and time-wasting. She's better for lab - just memorize the whole manual - you'll be fine.
