I love Pollack. I took her for V01A, too, and purposefully moved my schedule around so I could take her for V01B. Just a generally sweet and charming person. Can be a little snippy if you're disrespectful, but if you stay on her good side (which isn't hard) you'll have a lot of fun.

Comment:

She's a good teacher, but she wasn't for me. She never said anything nice in any of my essays, even when I tried my best. Her class can get pretty boring, she does the same thing over and over again. This is not my favorite class and I would not recommend this teacher to anyone. A teacher would motivate you to keep writing, this teacher didn't.

Comment:

Professor Pollack is the best. She encourages and applauds hard work from her students. If you're not willing to work hard and apply yourself, then don't take her class. Take her feedback seriously and use her helpful guidelines for papers. It is very evident that she enjoys teaching and wants her students to succeed.

I am pretty good at English, so I was not expecting this class to be hard. She is a fair grader. Pretty much as long as you can back up your opinions with facts from the story you will be good to go. She is a bit full of herself and enjoys flaunting her knowledge around, but if I read that many books I would want to show it off too. She is great.

I absolutely love professor Pollack! She is my favorite teacher. She makes a boring English class entertaining. I thought her class was unbelievably easy but I do enjoy writing. Highly recommend her. Sweetest person ever.

She is one of the toughest graders but you read some cool stuff. She is funny at times and knows what she is talking about. Expect to write a ton of papers, read everything that is assigned because she gives pop quizzes. The readings are usually short but you will have to read a novel that she assigns to you. Attendance matters a lot!

I love Professor Pollack because she is willing to help you polish and strengthen your skills of expression if you are willing to put in the effort. She is very kind and passionate about what she does. I had her comment on my papers before the due dates and utilized the tutoring center and got an A. Work with her and you'll be fine.

She's a sweet professor who is absolutely in love with English, reading is her life and she wants you to share that passion with her in this class. Take every extra credit opportunity because you really have to work for that A. You can always go to her for help, in fact, she'll bribe you with EC. Late work will kill your grade, turn it in on time.

She is so funny! This class is easy since most students SHOULD know how to write essays by now. I would take another class with her since she made it really fun, easy and we did not really do that much throughout the semester-- for ENG 1B at least.

This class in my opinion is easy. Many people drop out but the time she gives to complete things is great. You gives us about 3 essays that need to be about 4 pages but gives us about 2 weeks complete. You have 2 presentations and a research paper that's 6 pages but gives you almost a month to do. She is very helpful and gives some extra credit.

She is so hilarious. Essays are relatively easy ( writing should be easy in 1B). Read every story she says because she has quizzes. Relatively easy class depending on your writing skills. I would take another class with her.

Deborah Pollack is a very Well-structured Women who enjoys what she does. She is very helpful and organized. She is very understanding; never under-estimate her! I really enjoyed her class, she was very up-beat and made English fun for me!I learned a lot! If you need help ask for it! She wont know your struggle unless you speak up for yourself!:)

Professor Pollack is such a sweet lady! she is so dedicated and passionate about her subject. I would recommend this class to anyone, unless you don't like reading. So make sure you keep up with the reading, do the essays on time and attend class.
