Professor Dove is great. GWRTC is basically a writing class so going to a class that most of the work is writing papers will be boring to a lot of people but she makes class discussion interesting. She is, as others have said, a little disorganized and not an easy grader but very knowledgeable and happy to help. I would highly recommend her

A very nice woman-- obviously knows a lot about the class content. Assigns a lot of reading (very heavy) and five papers per semester. The workload was tough but the class itself was not too bad. She grades hard on papers but if you ask her for help, she will help you and give you ideas. A little unorganized but very knowledgable.

Really cool professor but very difficult grader. Makes a boring class fun and cancels a lot or lets you out between 15-45 mins early each day. For a class that most people don't take seriously, she grades very tough.

I switched into this class because of her high rating; however, I was very disappointed in her teaching. She hands tests/papers back weeks after turned in, talks too much about her life, complains, and is an incredibly hard grader when it comes to essays. I consider myself a good writer, but if you don't write the way she wants you to you will FAIL

The class started off difficult, and only got a little better. She grades hard, is very unorganized, misses a lot of classes and takes forever to return tests and papers. Nice lady, but the class is boring and not one I particularly enjoyed.

She's really nice! Not my favorite class ever but definitely not bad at all. She is enthusiastic about everything you'll read, which makes the class better. I've always considered myself a good writer and I haven't gotten less than a B on a paper. Other students seem to have more trouble with her grading style though. Would recommend as a GenEd!

Dr. Dove is extremely nice and she tries to make her class enjoyable to attend. She is very opinionated though, which might strike a nerve in some people. But she is very helpful and is open to you coming in for help during office hours. SHe is a hard grader on papers, but her tests are very easy if you take notes.

She's soooo nice! I loved going to her class even at 9:05 because her tangents are really funny. There are three test and three papers throughout the semester. DO THE READINGS. And take lots of notes during class-even if what she says doesn't seem all that important because it'll be on the tests. The tests themselves aren't all that difficult as lo

I really enjoyed this class, and she is one of the best English teachers I've ever had. I hate poetry, but she makes it easy and explains everything really well. As long as you study your class notes, you'll ace the tests. And the weekly papers aren't to bad. She is really caring, funny, and tries to get to know students. Definitely check her out!

VERY nice. She goes on little tangents that somehow relate to the material. She's pretty funny sometimes. Read the material, listen to what she says in her lectures, and you'll do fine on tests. For the weekly paper, know how to write a good paper (form, grammar, etc.) and don't be afraid to write about something weird. Just back it up.

ok, this lady is nuts for Beowulf and any other thing that involves learning. Quiz every class easy if you read. Tests are somewhat ridiclous, expects you to identify specific quotes for the 1000 readings you have done. Is a HARD grader on papers!
