I truly enjoyed this class!!! Professor Parish and her lectures are great, she makes it clear that she cares about her students. Her class isn't hard if you go to class every day and take notes! I would've loved to take PSYCH 2314 with Professor Parish.

Comment:

Prof. Parish makes you become very interested in the class and it's materials, she's very passionate about the class. She gives lectures nearly every class and elaborates on the material a ton, so I wouldn't recommend skipping unless you absolutely have to or she says in advance you don't need to come. Pay attention & listen, take notes, and study!

Caring and available for discussion if you don't understand a concept. Tells the class a week before testing what people typically get wrong and gives a study guide, along with extra credit and a makeup test if you miss/want to replace a grade. Keeps a tally of attendance which ends up being a small portion of the final grade. A few group projects.

Professor Parish is AMAZING! She lectures each class, but relates it to real life & tells stories of her own which make it interesting & easy to keep up with. You don't need a textbook if you take good notes. Tests are not difficult & she gives a review & a review class day. She gives cool assignments & extra credit. Easy grader. Very approachable

Study the vocabulary and any examples and the PWPT notes you take in class. The book is online and you can put in different emails to have a free-trial, I DID THIS DURING THE ENTIRE SEMESTER. The tests seemed kind of difficult, but if you study, you should be great! She has a light sense of humor and is very helpful if you miss class.

I absolutely love this teacher, she gives good feedback and is able to cover very difficult subjects and make them easy to understand. She is willing to extend a deadline if there is some sort of emergency and she really wants you to succeed.

Awesome teacher. Explains psychology very well. Lectures are slide shows where she gives descriptions. Don't buy the book, just go to class and take good notes. If you miss class get notes from fellow classmates. There are some projects but they are surveys and simple. Basic insight into psychology, but interesting. Dont skip and its an easy A

Professor Parish is one of the best teachers I have ever had. She explains everything well and tells lots of hilarious/interesting stories. Its an extremely interesting and fun class, and an easy A if you do the work and study. She also offers extra credit. Textbook use isn't really necessary if you take good notes. She's willing to work with you.

In the middle of her semester, and she is very passionate about what she teaches. I've taken psychology before with a HORRIBLE prof, but she's saved psych for me. Pay attention in class, take good notes, study the review, and you'll be just fine. You earn the grade you work for.

I was very interested in psychology to begin with but Professor Parish really made it easy to remember the details. Professor Parish is absolutely incredible, you could not ask for a greater psychology professor. I HIGHLY recommend her.

this class is very basic psyc class. you learn a little bit about alot of different subjects. if you study 3 days before tests, that's what helped me. tests are hard and confusing but class was so much fun and interesting. if you're up for a challenge, and like class to be interesting, take her! I'm glad I had her.
