She has content on exams and midterms that are only available from her lectures so you have to be sure to attend the class or at least get the notes. I didn't buy the textbook and still did fine but I attended all classes and soaked in her content. She is easily accessible outside of class and responds to emails really quickly. Caring prof.

I have to laugh reading the reviews which say she is so kind, sure she is nice but she is also condescending and rude at times. Interesting how psychology profs still seem so oblivious to their own deeper issues. Regardless, her teaching is clear and thorough. I learnt a lot and the tests were a breeze.

LOVE Professor Kamawar! She's so kind and makes her lectures very interesting. She's compassionate towards her students. You need to attend class to pass as she tests on things that aren't in the lectures.

One of the best professors ever! Her lecture slides are very clear and she follows the textbook while building on concepts. She goes into more detail in class than she provides in the slides so it's important to take good notes! Your mark is based on 3 tests which are very easy because she provides sample questions to study with!

Deepthi is for sure one of the best psych profs I've ever had at Carleton. She is approachable, nice, and very knowledgable in her field. Class was fair and easy if you attend class and take notes. If i had the chance to take another course with Deepthi, I definitley would!!

Deepthi is a very kind and understanding person however, she talks way too quickly in class making it difficult to understand what she is saying. Her S/A questions on both midterms were really confusing and hard to understand. Very slow on marking tests so be aware of that, didn't give very helpful tips on how to improve for tests

She is extremely caring towards her students and her work. She keeps her lectures very organized and concise. Answers emails if not instantaneously. I wouldn't consider her an easy professor though, you definitely have to invest 100% into the class to perform well. I give her a solid 9/10 Definitely reccomend her as a prof

Literally one of the best profs I've ever had. SUPER clear lectures and very practical chapter assignments. If you read the book and went to lectures there is no reason you would do poorly on the tests. She is very caring about students and is always available to answer questions. A negative was no rubric was given for the paper, just instructions

Shes nice enough but a little patronizing. Content wasn't too difficult but material definitely could've been presented better in lectures. Midterms were too long with respect to how much time we were given (half the students writing until the last minute), and both midterms got bellcurved by at least 6%. By psyc standards this class is hard

I absolutely loved this prof. She's funny, smart and makes all lectures bearable. Exams were normal toughness plus she gives lots of forewarning about content and sample questions. Super approachable and lots of interesting content, with videos and pictures. I really hope I can take more of her classes.

Comment:
Very tough subjective grader, M/C exam content was on the vague & somewhat confusing side. Would not be even mildly lenient nor reconsider midterm grades given, plus there was some overlap in terms of content that bordered on being cumulative. Tina Daniels would have been marginally better when it came to exams & not used short or long format

Deepthi is a fantastic prof. There were 3 tests, the last being the exam and no different from the first two. None were cumulative, which encouraged proper learning of key concepts. She knows how to teach and make it interesting. Professional, clear, helpful, funny. I'd take this class again!

I didn't find this class difficult at all and I disagree that attendance is a "must", although it does help. Deepthi is clear and kind but I feel like her work with children has filtered into her work with students. I don't feel it's necessary to have university students respond enthusiastically in unison. Might take another class with her though.

She is a great prof who speaks clearly and is entertaining to listen to. I really enjoyed her class and found her tests fair if not closer to the easy side and she does not try to trick you, she even gives you options in the short answer section. I would recommend taking this class with her as the prof!

I really like Deepthi as a prof and as a person. She really knows her stuff and knows exactly how to teach and get students to come to class. Pretty much the ONLY way you can do well in this course is if you attend class no matter how much you read the text. Shes easy in the sense that if you are willing to put the effort she is willing to help you

I loved this class. She taught extremely well and I really don't understand how people weren't completely successful in her course when she hand feeds you the material and tells you exactly what to study. If you go to lectures and take her exams seriously and study, you will definately get an A+.

She was absolutely impecable. I took this particular branch course and with her because of the prior ratings on this site and do not have a spec of regret. I will take her classes again just to be taught by her!
