I hated the material but Harper was good. Lab was fairly easy. Quizes were easy. No H/w. Pay attention in class and read read read. Memorize life cycles. Grades fair.

VERY hard class. letures are boring. no study guides. he seems like a nice man but class is pretty boring. Study the book, past quizzes, and read the chapters and you should pass a C in his class is a 60% thats regularly a D.

This was a hard class designed for Bio majors, but Harper was pretty clear. Sure it wasn't a fun entertaining class, but biology is all about facts, and memorizing them. Helpful if you have questions, you just have to actually ask them. Also, I'd always see him outside smoking cigarettes, and old guys who beat the odds and still smoke are awesome.

Finally done with this class!He's kind of hard, the thing is that his lectures do not match the ?'s he asks on the tests but really easy if you study all of the ?'s you missed on any quiz cause he'll ask them on a test. Lot's of pop quizzes but if you try hard you'll pass w/ a C.

This is not the most exciting class, but Prof. Harper tried to make sure we all understood the material. There are alot of pop quizzes, but with his grading scale, they only help you. Study the old pop quizzes and tests and you'll be fine in his class.

Harper is literally the most boring teacher ever. Not once did I stay awake in his class. His lectures go on and on, and they don't seem to be material in the textbook or tests. There are way too many pop quizzes and quizzes, and there are never study guides for it. Horrid.

The thing is ou either know the material and how the systems work or you don't. Spend your time trying to understand the material, not read & memorize. It's as simple as that. Passing the class is not a problem, so try to do well in the labs and practicums. He is very knowledgeable and helpful!! Take him!

I was hoping that this class would be fun, since it was bio, but no offence to Dennis he nearly bored me to sleep several times. Pure lectures non-stop talking. No study guides for exams or anything. But study pop quizzes, and go to class everyday.

If you are a Biology major I encourage you to take him, he will teach you EVERYTHING you need to know about Bio. and challenge you. If you are not a bio major try to avoid his class becuase it is too hard for you, Only Bio majors can understand
