Comment:
His class was so disorganized and we were left learning the material on our own. I never had to write 1000 words for 2% ever and found it crazy that we had to do that 7 times for 14% of our grade while other sections did not have to do this at all. Took forever to receive grades for assignments and the feedback received was close to none.

Took this as an elective. Terribly organized class, different due dates, missing information. Lots of small assignments and quizzes that are worth 1-2%. The questionnaires are free marks but are so long to fill out. The final was very easy, but that could be because I was lucky as the multiple choice questions are randomly generated.

Comment:
This class was a disorganized mess. Due dates changed often, so many time-consuming + long assignments worth only 1%. MCQ on final looked nothing like the EISEL I practiced 100 times. TA's answered questions relatively fast, the prof only started answering questions 3 weeks before the end of the semester. Do-able but comes with many headaches

Comment:
I find that this teacher could improve his organizational skills. The course outline was wrong and the different websites he used to post the assignments all had different due dates. Because of that, I missed a couple of quizzes because the official due date and what was written on the outline were different.

Nice guy, but he's not a very good lecturer. Usually would lecture for about 50 mins and then send us home (2.5 hour class). Easy grader in my opinion. The course itself doesn't really offer much value if you already know exponential smoothing methods and multiple regression.

Took it as an elective for MBA - Business Forecasting. He knows his subject but he is not a teacher. He is very confusing, and he jumps from one slide to another without much of sense. You have to read yourself, and the book he uses is also confusing. The name of the subject sounds cool but, in fact, you waste tour time and learn nothing.

Does not speak a lot of sense, is not clear in his primitive thoughts. Has a good knowledge of the subjects, but as a teacher is zero. I wasted 70% of my time in the class. I know the subject very well, but what he spoke about was non-sense, short sentences, no English vocabulary.

If it unfortunate that this class is a required course in the curriculum. There is absolutely no learning value. As others mentioned, the assignments are frustrating and you learn nothing from them. There are way too many sources to refer to and 2 websites for the course, really? Also instructions are not clear at all.

Couldn't make it to physical midterm. He let me skip it, but he made final 75%. Quizzes harder than final. Includes project you can do on your own or with group. TAs helped by answering questions; otherwise, learn from textbook because no slides (don't need to buy physical one because took online course). Took 2 Stats courses before, easiest yet.

Powerpoints and assignments are all outdated with mistakes on it. Often powerpoints include tough material that you don't need to learn. Assignments have missing graphs and information. They are tough markers, i once lost complete marks for writing 4.049 instead of 4.059. Your on your own in this class despite all the shortcomings. Do not take!!!!

Unacceptable teacher. He didn't interact with the students at all, and frequently changed his grading scheme throughout the semester. The course outline was useless. His quizzes were full of grammatical errors, formatting errors, and the contained massive grading errors every week. Avoid. His class is an embarrassment to JMSB.

Took DESC200 online with him as professor; haven̢۪t heard of him for the whole semester. I give the credit to his TAs, which answered all questions clearly and in a timely manner. As for the class, do most of the readings in the e-book and you should be getting an easy A. The mini-cases with Microsoft Access and Excel are boring and time consuming.

I took him in the summer of 2010. He is a very nice prof. He covers all the required material and will actually grade you favorably if you show up to class and "participate". in other words he rewards effort if you really try. I would recommend him to B+ to A+ students, you will benefit from a grade boost if you demonstrate interest.

Took his online course. I'm actually wondering what he did during the semester besides grading work. No lecture videos. No powerpoint notes. The only living sign you'll get from him is the prof's forum posts. At the final, we didn't even recognize the guy. Study the book by heart and you'll do fine in the final. Don't count on him.

Does anyone else notice he sounds like he has a mouthful of food? He's a mumbler. Helpful but you have to keep up with course material to understand. I'd say just sign up for SOS- takes up less time and helps with the lack of motivation we all have in the summer.
