DV is the MAN. Best professor I've ever had at UMass. The class is insanely hard and will work you like never before, but DV helps you every step of the way. He inspires greatness in his students, and teaches you to do things you never thought possible. If you ever want to do anything even minutely related to organic chemistry, you NEED to hear DV.

Best guy ever. His teaching is awesome and you will learn organic chemistry very well. His tests are impossible! Expect to fail at least one of them. Its OK though because he curves the class so you will be happy with your grade as long as you try your best.

DV is a good teacher and he tries his hardest to help us understand Organic Chem, which is a hard subject no matter what. His exams were difficult; some class averages were down in the 40s and 50s, but it shows he expects a lot out of us. Plus there's a huge curve.

Organic chemistry is hard no matter who the teacher is, but DV made it a bit more interesting--he once compared reactions to Facebook relationships. Also the scale at the end of the semester is pretty amazing.

DV is a cool guy. He tries to explain everthing very well. This was his first semester teaching orgo, so I think he cut us some slack. The material was hard, but if you spend some time studying and going to class, the exams aren't too bad. He gave some practice questions too and used OWLs which helped.

Really nice guy. Sometimes he talks a little fast but he's clear in his concepts. Gives extra credit oppertunities which help a lot. I deffinatly recommend him
