Portfleet is such a nice professor and is hilarious! She goes on and on when she tells stories and always let my class out sooo early. She is so passionate about what she teaches, but I do not think I learned one thing in her class.

What an unbelievably disappointing class. She bases the entire course on class discussion, yet has us sit in lecture-style rows and talks for 75% of the "discussion." She's very easy, just don't come in hoping to learn anything like I did.

Prof Portfleet is the easiest, most laid-back prof I have ever had. She is an extremely easy grader and is understanding if you can't get all of the assignments done on time. Her class is fun, but I didn't learn much from it. I would recommend it to those who want an easy, fun, GPA booster but not to those seeking an academically challenging class.

she was a really good professor. class wasn't always thrilling, but she was passionate about all of it. she had great stories and graded fairly. plenty of small papers and 3 take home exams that ruined my life while i was writing them. but if you finish them, she'll give you a good enough grade. i'd reccommend this section.

Very good prof, thoughtful lectures, interesting stories. There's a lot of reading and the essay tests are killer, but I think it was worth it.

I've had this prof twice. the second time for Adolescent lit. She is awesome. you have to write a blurb (1-2 pages) after everything u read but its easy and it makes up most of your grade. she allows you to have your own opinion and is really cool all around. She has great stories too.
