Comment:
Professor Strazza is good. As long as you attend class, pay attention, take good notes, and do practice problems, you will do fine. He jokes a lot and is sarcastic but that is what makes the class better. He gives pop quizzes, but that makes you study and know the material. Overall a good professor & teaches well! I recommend him.

Biochem is hard, but it is manageable. You have to be really good at listening to the lecture and taking good notes to figure out what you need to know. He's pretty straightforward and always available for help. However, his grading on exams is weird and he seems to spin the wheel on how many points he takes off something is even slightly wrong.

I liked him until his third exam which was the most unnecessarily hard exam I've ever taken. He is awful. No question about it.

Oh Strazza. Hate to love him, love to hate him. He's a master of the chemistries and I have great respect for him. He's hilarious and keeps things lively. However, his grading is just so skewed. He chooses who he curves. makes no sense. Problems in classproblems on test for all his classes. I found myself having to relearn everything after class.

He will make fun of the entire class right in front of you, and will never give praise to anyone. He gives random pop quizzes and the last ones are especially unfair. He goes over the material the last class, and SURPRISE here's a quiz next class. his tests are a 45/55 split 45 for MC, 55 for short answer, 15 MC per test* and MC is very difficult

Strazza is the best professor that Saint Rose has to offer, by far. Hilarious and genuine, he is the reason I stayed at Saint Rose and he is the smartest person I have the pleasure of knowing.

Beware of pop quizzes! If you take notes in class, read the textbook, do practice problems and seek help when needed, you will do great. Dr. Strazza is very hilarious and there's no way you can fall asleep in his class. Class can get pretty challenging especially for those with no/little chemistry experience from high school.

Professor Strazza is hilarious in lecture. Some of his jokes are corny which make them all the better. I enjoyed his lectures but there was really no organization. I think it was the lack of organization that made his tests so confusing. How he grades his test is beyond me. I received Bs and Cs on all but managed to still fail with an A IN LAB SMH

He is a really great professor. I never wanted to miss lecture because I was afraid I wouldn't be able to understand the material as well. He definitely makes it so you must know the material A is definitely possible with hard work, good study habits, and good notes.

He is an amazing teacher, however be ready to work. He's always available to help you outside of class. Pop quizzes are a common thing in his class, if you think there will be a pop quiz next class you're probably right. The textbook isn't necessary for the class. Practice problems done in class, and study the core concepts and you will be fine!

Strazza is a great teacher. He makes gen chemistry a little less boring with his humorous rants about the perils of modern technology and the ever present arrogance of academics. His pop quizzes are fairly simple and serve to make you study. The only caveat is that his multiple choice questions involve obscure lecture material.

Very engaging--he's not going to let you fall asleep. Sometimes over the top, but better than the alternative. The class itself is difficult. This isn't high school any more, and he won't hold your hand like you're used to. Don't take this class if you're looking for an easy grade. If you're looking to continue in Chem, though, Strazza's your man.

Great professor. His teaching style is clear and to the point. he does something new everyday so the pace is relatively fast but you can also stop him and ask questions or even correct him in his math and he wont mind. He isn't full of himself or anything like other professors with the Ph.D title but he definitely knows what he is talking about.

One of the best teachers I have ever had. He makes chemistry fun and not stressful. His teaching style is fantastic, he takes his time doing problems on the board until everyone understand it. He is also very willing to help outside of class. Basically, if you have the chance to take a class with him, do it for sure!

Great professor! He's very sociable& will help you understand the material. He also relates the subject to life applications, which is pretty interesting. He tries to keep you awake in class, is funny, and is fair at grading. Do the work, like he tells you to, study, and it'll be a good class. He's a great guy.
