Dr. Blythe was a great prof :) he lectures very fast though, my hands were definitely hurting from all the notes at the end! He is concise and very clear on the grading criteria. 2 midterms, 2 essay papers that you get to pick the topic on, and a final. I really appreciated how approachable the prof and the TAs were!

Though you do have to show up to lectures in order to know what's going on (nothing is posted on e-class), this class is quite simple and does not require much studying. Blythe writes the notes on the board. As for grading, we had two essays an two written midterms, and a final similar to the midterms. I enjoyed this course and Blythe's teaching.

He's a very straightforward prof in terms of his expectations. His lectures are all he tests on and you have the essay questions ahead of time, plus he offers feedback on your answers before the exam. Grading is based on an essay, two midterms, and a final. Overall he's a good professor, but his lecture style was a bit disorganized.

Wasn't sure what all the hype was about at first, but I get it now. Blythe was a great prof who was very clear about what he wanted. I'm not a fan of political theory but Blythe tried his best to make the class bearable and he did a fantastic job at it. For exams, he picks from a list of study questions he gives out. Very fair marker and chill dude

He is a super cool dude, you definitely need to attend lectures as he doesn't post notes. But he was super easy to understand and doesn't push his political viewpoints/beliefs on you like some profs. There were 2 midterms 2 papers and a final. Clearly explains his grading criteria for these things and marks fairly. Really enjoyed going to his class

He's an amazing prof, he taught the class like 30 times I think so he knows his stuff and is very straight forward. He provides you with study questions at the beginning of class so that his lecture is meant to hit those points, his midterms are based on those study questions. 15 mins before the end of class he answers the questions.

Dr. Blythe is great! His lectures are informative and fast-paced. Not a whole lot of time is spent droning on about the same topic which is nice. His assignments are straightforward and marked fairly.

This prof expects you to show up to class, write down his notes extremely quickly, then repeat them verbatim during exams. He only uses about half the class time to lecture so you really have to focus on writing as fast as possible. His marking is arbitrary and students that go up to see him often get huge grade boosts. Would not take again.

Here are the key points - Easy grader if you rewrite his notes verbatim - Tests are a repeat of his notes which are all verbal and in class, so y'all gotta show up bruh - YOU WILL GET AN A- IF YOU RE WRITE HIS NOTES - He marks very bad so you have to always go and re hash your grade because he marks very arbitrarily and might give you a large jump.

You have to come to class as he writes the notes on the whiteboard and does not post them on eclass. Textbook not needed. Tests are only comprised of study questions he gives in class. Makes the class easy so you can enjoy the subject matter

Dr. Blythe is very good at what he does. His lectures are great. I would not read the course textbook, since his lectures give you the required information. He gives awesome feedback on written work, is willing to help with essays, and is accessible. Plus, he gives you the list of questions from which he which he chooses exam questions.

Dion was exemplary in his line of work. His notes were very detailed to the extent that the course textbook was not required. Exams and papers are simple if you prepare ahead of time and go to the essay workshops. For exams and papers he will provide possible test questions to prepare and will always provide feedback on your thesis.

Found him to be quite personable. Midterms and finals are marked by Blythe, and I would say are marked fairly easily. The out of class essays marked by the TAs can be brutal. Missed a lot of class but got the notes and did out of class research and got through it. Decent class, the - is my fault, don't procrastinate the essays and know how to cite.

Blythe is the greatest prof I have ever HAD. This is the 3rd course I have taken with him. This guy is a gem. Approachable, caring and super laid-back. Class is so chill. He knows his stuff VERY well & is accessible outside of class. Very fair grader. Attendance isn't mandatory but his lectures are super interesting if you go. Easy A.

Blythe clearly knows what he is talking about, he can sometimes be a little too fast in his lectures but if you ask him to repeat or slow down he is absolutely willing. Marks tests and papers fairly and does his best to ensure that students are well prepared.

Blythe was a good professor for my first poli sci class. His lectures were very simple, about 20 minutes of lecture and 20 minutes of discussion and let out early. Easy tests, and fairly easy papers except the TA marking was terrible, but i met with Blythe and he boosted my mark a full grade point. Funny and nice, but you don't need the textbook!
