I encourage anyone of color, and anyone not originally from this country to take his class! You will learn so much about the law and your rights as an American citizen. 2 quizzes, 1 midterm and a final. Must pass an amendments test and turn in list of elected representatives. Test are based on lectures but the book has everything you need 2 pass

Lectures are all over the place its hard to know when one subject begins and the next begins. Gets out of topic so much, hand writing is just awful. He is almost always late and never really prepared. Takes forever to grade the quizzes I have that class on Saturdays only and I'm still waiting for him to grade our last quiz we had about 3 weeks ago

Sounds like this professors prime was 2005. So unorganized, and hardly even shows up to class. Emphasizes the use of the book and notes yet the test is about 10% based on them. The other 90% you're on your own.

Take this class if you are busy and do not care. He is a great knowledgeable person. As a teacher, he gives you a test that you never even read about. He's always late and sometimes never shows up. I honestly very disliked the class. You will not learn a lot from him, but expects to know it.

Dr. Horne was an exceptional instructor, he was knowledgable in the subject matter. He was very helpful in explaining the processes of the political system. He encouraged us to get involved to learn more about the city and country that we live in. dr. Horne was most enthusiastic and i enjoyed hi class.

I live Dr. Horne. I have never been interested in Political Science until now. Also I am able to help my son and daughter with thier history and goverment classes. I suggest this class to every minonity student. escpecially males so you will learn and know your rights when it comes to the LAPD and Sherrifs

Dr.Horne is a good professor, and his intentions are to make sure you do know how politics work, but he can do a much better job teaching this class. It gets very confusing, and can be a little frustrating. You must memorize the 10 amendments by the end of class in order to pass. 1 Midterm, 1 final, 1 test. Overall I would recommend this class. :)

I have mixed feelings about this class, I mean the guy is nice and everything, but I feel he can do a better job at explaining things. He rambles on about other things, and does not get right to the point as the book says, so we can get a better understandment of material. However class is passable. he just makes things confusing.

Easy as Hell!!! Helpful!!! If your a minority you have to take this class!!! Test are easy, everything is easy! try to sit in the front so he can know your face, and your guaranteed an "A". Oh and of course go to class!

Dr. Horne is an excellent Professor! He knows his stuff, and makes you interested in Political Science. You have to memorize your Bill of Rights Ammenments 1-10, Take home Mid-term and Final, Extra credit is to look up 100 Political Science terms, and participate in class. You do all of this; you cannot go wrong! Will get either an A or B in class.

Great professor. Very down to earth and humurous. I was already very interested in the class so it was not big deal for me. I loved his making up memorize the Bill of Rights. Very effective professor, and I still remember most of the Bills of Rights: "Citizens have the right to..." Hehehe. Take Dr. Horne!

Excellent class. The material you learn will be with you forever. Tests are easy but a lot of questions. Really a lot of questions. You will work in this class.
