Full of Group Projects, Individual assignments and lots of slides to look forward too, also randomizes the group partners for most of the time. Also weekly quizzes on the chapter that is being covered. Sometimes will extend the homework if we haven't covered the material. Everything is due during midnight of the date it is due.

I haven't had any other Computer Science classes yet. But when it comes to F131, I feel that there wouldn't have been any better professor for this class. The topics themselves are maybe pretty dull, but Prof. Zinoviev makes them much more interesting. Apart from that, he's a great help when it comes to individual consultation.

The class itself is kind of boring, but he tries to make it as interesting as possible. Allows a cheat sheet for the midterms. Also, buy the textbook. It's VERY helpful.

As long as you have an interest in CS and you are willing to work for your grade, Zinoviev is beyond fair. Homework is challenging but adequately prepares you for the exams. The exams are sometimes too challenging but he often grades on a scale so you shouldn't stress too much about doing poorly. He responds promptly to emails with questions.

Unbelievable how many people are saying he is the "worst". I'm not sure they know what a truly good professor is. Do the assignments and study hard, and you will do well. If you don't get it, ask him to clarify, and he always will. Funny how the professors that spoon-feed you material from a silver platter are given the better reviews...

He thinks he's better then you. He looks down on you. If you can avoid him at all cost. He gives you paper test that take and hour to complete then a programming exercise. remind you this is a hour an fifteen minute class. He does not even teach you you better buy the book if you wan to pass. Absolutely the worst professor ever. AVOID HIM.

Lectures can feel like an eternity. Hard to understand what he is saying, monotone; you'll need to read the book and meet up with a tutor. Tests can be hard after the first two; make good use of the cheat sheet. Professor is very willing to have office hours on your schedule. He can be blunt. Grading is straightforward; homework can be tough.

One of the best professors at Suffolk University. The class is definitely fast paced because there is lots of materials to cover in Computer Science which make going to each class lecture worth the while; I always learn something new. His lectures are clear and helpful in explaining even the most complicated topics. Recommended.

I'm shocked he has any negative reviews. He is a fantastic teacher. He explains things very clearly and was always willing to help myself and other students. I had a hard time with some of the concepts at first, but overall it isn't extremely challenging. If you show up and you try, you will do well. If you wanna skate through class, you won't.

This professor is the worst professor at Suffolk University. The guy outright discourages and puts down his students who don't get his erratic unorthodox fast paced teaching style. If you want to pass computer science please skip this guy, he is the worst!!!! F-
