Comment:

Lets you use notes on a test but sat next to a person that was the loudest person ever to turn a page. This resulted in me getting bad grades often on the test because i just couldn't focus on the tests. She says she doesn't grade on a curve but i'm pretty sure she does.

Comment:

The projects can be a little tricky (powerpoint & excel) and sound harder than they are but she gives feedback and lets you fix mistakes for points back. Tests weren't too tough and she gave you a few days to turn in your answers. She is an easy grader and seems very laid back from what I got from the online course.

Homeworks are super easy. Tests are open notes. 4 tests. Drop the lowest score for you. round up your grades from 89% to 90%. Great professor. but class can be little bit boring.

She was awesomely attentive toward students learning needs. I witnessed this prof stay after class each time to offer Extra help to students with questions. Thank you Dr. Collen!

She's the best IS340 prof out there. Quick, easy lectures. Homework takes maybe an hour for each assignment. Tests are majority of class, but you get to use your notes on them. ADVICE, PRINT OUT THE GLOSSARY FROM THE BACK OF THE BOOK and use them as part of your notes for the test. Really interesting and easy course. Take her if you can

The assignments were not clear but once you figured out what she was looking for they were not difficult. She puts all of them up at the beginning of the semester so if wanted you could complete them all the first week. Her tests are hard! but they are open notes. I typed all of the definitions from the book for my notes and did better than others.

The lectures are good and the tests are open note (although you still should study). Fun teacher. The assignments are not explained very well at all though and many of them involve learning how the program works by yourself.

She does not explain the assignments very clearly, you have to ask and look them up yourself. I went through the whole book and typed up the definitions and I still took the test and didn't know answers. Her tests are open note, but she doesn't cover everything that is included on the test.

I LOVED HER CLASS!!! Open notebook tests, assignments are easy and fun, final project helps you network with companies, keeps the dry material of ISIT very interesting and fun! Take her, you won't regret it!

This was my favorite professor that I ever had. If you aren't interested in Information Systems, you probably won't find 340 to be interesting. If you are an IS major, take every class she offers. She is passionate and truly cares about her students, she makes sure she knows everyone's name. Classes are fun and interesting and I learned a lot!!

Mrs. Collen is a great professor. Her class is always relaxing yet informational. She is a really knowledgeable person and very, very easy-going. She is willing to help her students as well. I wish I registered more of her classes. Definitely recommend anyone, especially IS students to take her class, you will enjoy it.

She is a great professor. She truly cares about you individually and helps whenever its needed. Exams are open note and she gives you a lot of notes, but she's also an easy grader. If you have an A no need to take the final either, but if you do it's open note open book. I recommend her.
