Prof. Kaiper is very knowledgeable, simply the best @LMC. He eats and breaths History. He is literally living History Channel. Listen to his lectures carefully, take good notes, attend his classes, read your books, answer HW questions thoroughly, and you will be fine. I was smitten by his way of lecturing. He made me fell in love with History 029.

LOVE KAIPER! He is difficult to understand at times, and when you first begin his class it seems impossible to pass, but once you get the hang of taking notes and listening to him he is an amazing professor and you'll love the class. A LOT of work but not too difficult. This is as close to real college as LMC gets! GREAT PROFESSOR!!!

I might get a little teary eyed talking about this man, he really touched my life! He is very passionate about education in general and challenging the students. He is SO interesting. He was a revolutionary back in the day. Please take this amazing teacher, he is close to retirement age!!! Visit him during his office hours to hear great stories

The best professor that I have ever had! He gives a heavy work load, but if you do the work, you'll pass. He is very passionate about the subject and never fails to keep the classes interesting. Once you get the hang of him he's easier to work with. He is an overall amazing professor. Highly recommend him!!

Kaiper knows his stuff. He is passionate, thorough, and a vast wealth of knowledge. He gives a good lecture, and assigns great sources for the material taught. He is, however, absolutely horrible at being clear with what homework assignments are. So confusing on HW questions. Tons of HW. Prepare for a real University level class.

Honestly he's pretty easy when you get used to his grading style and learn to get on his good side. Most of the class tends to be homework and quizzes. With one group presentation, midterm, and final paper. I ook three history classes with his guy and got all A's.

Kaiper is SUPER difficult but he is literally the best professor I have EVER had! He really cares and if you don't understand, he will sit and explain it to you. If you show up, read, and take notes it's not hard to pass. He likes things fed back exactly as he said them, but it makes it easy to pass if you're dedicated enough!

this teacher knows what he's talking about. First day when i walked into his class i for sure knew that i was gonna end up dropping his class, but at the end i got a B in his class. All the work he assigns is more than ENglish classes. if you want to pass this class just write alot of facts on the hw he assigns.

Kaiper is not your typical History professor. He really knows what he is talking about and he gives us the craziest homework. But he only does that because he wants his students to truly understand History and how important it is. I thought I messed up but I got an A for this class :)

This is an honors class. He terrorizes you with tremendous HWKs and papers: more papers than English 100! BUT he is one of the BEST EDUCATORS at LMC! He is very dedicated, very knowledgeable, and clearly points out the major ideas of each lesson. He is very funny, nice and loves his students. He's a fair grader. Def not for lazy students. I got A!

I took his honors history class and found it to be boring at times, but if you work really hard on all the major assignments you will walk out of there with an A in the class. Kaiper is a little unclear at times so make sure to take good notes and ask for clarification after class or during office hours.

BEST TEACHER EVER! Also hardest class EVER! I loved every aspect of it! He is an amazing man and a wonderful teacher. He gave people who messed up so many chances, so if you try, he'll get you to pass. If you get a bad grade then you didn't show or didn't try. If I had the money, I would take all of his classes. again, !BEST TEACHER EVER!

Kaiper is the most knowledgeable teacher that I have had at LMC, he really knows his stuff and is very passionate about the subjects he teaches. His class is by no means easy, but you will definitely learn a lot. I have taken several of his classes and recommend them for anyone who enjoys learning especially since lecture is always interesting!

Don is the best prof I've ever encountered. I've taken several of his courses and I've never learned so much. His classes are tough and you will work hard but it's worth the effort in the end since you will walk away with a great education. I ghighly recommend Don as an instructor if you are a well diciplined student.

Don is a treasure. Experience goes back to Civil Rights movement in the 60's, he is probably the highest quality academician on campus. Passionate about history and helping his students. His lectures jump around a bit. Pay attention, take careful notes, ask questions and you will enjoy the journey. Excellent prep for transfer!
