Comment:

She is not bad, but she is very boring. Most people do not even go to class, and just show up for exams. She gives no homework, so she only grades midterms (drops the lowest one), final, extra credit quizzes and a few written assignments. She lectures all class and it is sometimes hard to understand. Be ready to teach yourself.

HORRIBLE TEACHER!!!! She goes on talking about random things and just repeating the words ANNNNNND ummmmm like she doesnt know what shes talking about!!! I dont learn anything in class, you basically have to teach yourself from the book. If youre interested in actually learning about this subject, DO NOT TAKE HER!

Grading is based on 3 midterms (lowest grade is dropped) and the final . Quizzes are extra credit that you must get an 80% on for them to count . At least two other extra credit assignments .. ((MAKE SURE to not only do the SLOs but to also READ ENTIRE CHAPTERS. Midterm questions are in chapters and not all questions are in the SLOs )))

Professor/ Doctor Davi, is quite interesting. Her lectures are deep and informative. Do not skip her class because she covers a lot of information that you will see on a test and quiz midterms!

Comment:

I took professor Davi over the summer semester so everything was cramped into 6 weeks. She lectures heavy and gives you a SLO guide that literally has all material you need for the exams. reading the chapters is a must but its actually a good read. No homework, 3 exams ,1 final, 4 Extra credit quizzes, and 1 paper. Really smart , sweet woman!

Comment:

Very organized, grading criteria clearly stated in syllabus. Extra credit quizzes very helpful. Knows the subject thoroughly, and willing to help outside class whenever you need it. Cares about the students and wants them to do well. I've seen some ratings where students are (ridiculously) complaining about "having to read the textbook." Really?

This class is fairly easy, however, in order to pass, you have to read the book. The SLOs do not cover all the material. Some of her tests have things that we never covered in class. She told me if I got this score on my test, Id pass. I did. I then saw she gave me a D. If you can take it at the brentwood campus with a different teacher, do it.

Professor Davi is a wonderful teacher. You can tell she is passionate in what she teaches and wants you to succeed. She doesn't assign any homework to be collected and graded, however, it is in your best interest to read assigned chapters, answer SLO's in the packets she gives you, and take online practice tests. That is THE BEST way to get an A.

She was alright. Teaches literally right out of the book. Sometimes I got really annoyed by her lectures because she talks slow and hangs on her words. talks about her ex husband and boyfriend a lot. Nevertheless she was nice and you learn quite a bit in class. Her gradebook is only in her journal, not online.

Loved professor Davi! She gives tons of extra credit opportunities, tests and quizzes are easy if you read the chapters and use her unit packets to study from. Interesting lectures, always has fun stories to share. Wishing I had more psych classes to take to take her again.

Davi is very nice & her class is easy, but the lectures are horrifically boring. The class is never engaged or happy to be there. After weeks of falling asleep in class I stopped attending & only showed up for tests, & maintained a passing grade. There are 3 midterms and 1 final, & she drops the lowest grade. Quizzes are extra credit.

Davi's class is really easy to pass if you read the book. All of her tests are book based. There is one paper, and as long as you follow the instructions, it is easy to get a 100% on it. All quizzes are just extra credit. Very easy and simple professor, great for first time college students.

Excellent in all respects, knows the material inside out. Always there and on time. Quizzes for extra credit help. Grading criteria discussed on day one and clear as a bell. Pay attention!

She makes it easy to pass. Lectures are not mandatory, but she points out key topics that will be on the test. She is clear on what she expects, & what will be on the exams. There are many extra credit assignments. She does not want anyone to fail, but will not put up with excuses. You can tell she knows her material & is an experienced professor

She says the unit packet questions she gives are going to be very similar to the unit exam but it isn't. Book is required to study and understand the topic. Lectures aren't that good since the slides are in the unit packet. 3 extra credit opportunities and are easy. 1 paper and also easy, not too difficult. Unit Exams is what kills your grade.

She can be rude and snappy at times but nothing major. Her goal is for everyone to pass so she provides extra credit assignments and quizzes to for that opportunity. She teaches several classes in 1 day so to her you're just another student. Its not that difficult to get an A you don't even have to show up, just read and understand the material.

Comment:

Quizzes are for extra credit only. No homework, only reading. Midterms are 60 questions, so a lot of material. quizzes only 15. The material isn't difficult, just a lot to read. You don't need to show up, but her lectures are interesting at times. If your looking for an easy A, look somewhere else unless you like reading a lot. overall easy.
