She wrote the textbook, so she knows the content inside out. This also means that she is looking for very specific answers on her tests. Her class is good, but to get a good grade be prepared to dedicate A LOT of time to studying. Also the way she writes her notes is kinda confusing, make sure you don't miss anything!

Really enjoyed the lectures. She uses lots of examples and really knows her stuff. Don't miss class though or else you'll fall behind. Found the course challenging but also rewarding and engaging.

Dorothy is a great prof, I enjoyed the class. You need to understand the material to pass. She makes the material super easy to understand if you listen and take notes. She gives PLENTY of examples that help a lot. Her notes are kind of all over the place because she writes in tree diagrams. You get used to it. I LOVED this class. interesting!!

She wrote the textbook, which means she is an extremely hard grader. The exam was worth 60%. She has no slides in lectures and she writes on the white board. Her in-class notes on the board are garbage, and don't bother going to see her. Revising the textbook doesn't work either. Do not text, or sit in the back or use bathroom. Join in, in class.

Worst professor I have ever had. Avoid at all costs. Lectures physically HURT. Textbook is useless. This course is the worst experience I have had. The content in one word: interesting; Lectures in one word: Painful; Lecturer in one word: pretentious. To reiterate, AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

She wrote the book, so why not test you on it??? I read the chapters, I went in to each class thinking I would pass the test but I didn't, if she says you have a test on chapters 3 &5, don't bother studying the chapters because the test will not be about either of the chapters. Hardest marker ever!

If you are concerned about keeping your 4 gpa, don't take this course. She does not give out As. Does not believe you could possibly know enough to get one. Last time I checked grades were to mark progress not expertise in a subject that you spend 3hrs/week doing. Not a bad prof, just brutal in marks. You'll need a 90 for an a-.

Great Prof, super nice lady! Go to class, read the book, answer the questions she gives you at the start of every chapter and ask her if there is something you don't understand. It's a fourth year elective class, you don't have to be there...if you can't stay awake in her class go to bed earlier or ask your doctor if you have sleep apnea.

Dorthy is a good professor and a friendly person to. The class can be a bit boring, but the material is not exactly super interesting all the time. She tries to make up for it by telling a few jokes mostly related to the material every once in a while. Not that hard of a marker either

Classes are VERY Boring, her notes are hard to take down, make sure you read the text before class, that helps. Her Tests are fair though, but you really do need to know your stuff. She is really helpful to approach for help. Just do the work.
