Comment:

She is one of the BEST psych teachers ever. Doesn't use textbook. Doesn't believe in letter grades- passes everyone. Tests are multiple choice and she drops the lowest grade. No final. Really funny and entertaining to listen to. I highly suggest taking her!

I took 3 classes with Dr. Torre and wish I could take more. She is extremely caring, funny, and nice. Her class is the only class I hated skipping. If you show up and take notes, you will do good on tests. Do NOT get the textbooks; you will not use it.

Slightly boring, but it's an overview so not everything is interesting. Easy test - study guides are provided. Tests are multiple choice and essay (options are given). A little fast paced, but she does direct your studying for exams. One 5-7 page paper for this class.

She is the best professor I've ever had! She is so knowledgable and is the never boring! Her class is always fun and entertaining and she's always making fun of herself and cracking jokes. If taking PSYCH 122, don't get the textbook, you won't use it. But other than that she's fantastic and I highly recommend her class!

Comment:

The one professor that made me never want to skip class. She teaches across the whole spectrum of psychology, and her knowledge shows in her lectures. Hard to be bored in the class because she's always cracking jokes and pushing engagement from her students for discussions. She grades heavily on papers(2-3), but the subjects are clear and diverse.

Comment:

Amazing teacher who actually cares about her student's lives improving not just their grade in the class. Don't by the textbook you never use it. Take good notes and you will ace every test. Class is always entertaining and you watch a lot of TED talks. I ended up taking her for three different classes. Highly recommend.

She really likes engaging with students and class participation, that is the structure of the class. She doesn't try to trick you or make things unnecessarily difficult, the objective of this class is to learn more about yourself and relationships, and I definitely did! Very easy assignments and tests. Fun class that you can apply to your life

Expect TED Talks. Lectures makes sense. She expects students to participate. Textbook was needed for one question on one test but you had the option to not answer that particular question. Final was all written, all other quizzes were take home. She notices when you don't show up. Super chill and I learned a lot about myself and relationships!

I learned SOOO much from this class. We watched many informative Ted Talks in class on different subjects. She knows what she is teaching and makes the class participate in discussions. 90% of our grade is a midterm and final which is just a 5-7 p. essay based on your opinions as well as a group presentation. The other 10% is participation.

This class gives you a deeper perspective about life and the world around you. Attendance highly recommended because lectures fun and she gives out the midterms and finals IN CLASS, so you do not want to miss it. Show up, participate, get an A. Dr. Torre was a fantastic professor and I would definitely take her course again.

Professor Torre is one of the best teachers I've ever had. This class does require participation. There are times she might ask uncomfortable questions; however, you do get what you put into the class. She helped me overcome obstacles in my own life and provided me with key tools that can be used for many years to come. Highly recommended!

Dr. Torre is an amazing teacher. She is extremely knowledgable about psychology as a whole. Her lectures are extremely useful for your own life and you learn a lot in her class. All you have to do is show up and listen. Participation is 12% of your grade, so you have to speak up in class in order to receive an A. Fantastic teacher!

Extremely nice teacher, tries to get everyone involved and make the learning environment a safe and fun place. Lectures can get very personal as you talk about everything and almost air out your problems to the class. Tests are extremely easy and as long as you do the study guide you're guaranteed an A. She is a phenomenal teacher. She has a lot of energy and enthusiasm when it comes to teaching the subject she loves and that makes any class more enjoyable. Only 3 tests, with the lowest one dropped and 1 essay. Very laid-back and wants her students to succeed and be passionate about what they do. Loved her and would recommend her to anyone!

Dr. Torre is so passionate about her work, and she is knowledgable as well. The class wasn't as structured as some of her other classes but it wasn't difficult. She always uses real life examples and draws parallels with every day life to make things interesting and relatable. She's honest and funny and you'll love her class.

Dr. Torre is seriously the best psych teacher! She makes class fun and enjoyable. The material is easy to learn because she tells stories to help you understand better. She gives handouts with all of the info on it. Tests = easy. Drops lowest test score. No hw. 1 research paper. TAKE HER!!!!
