Comment:

He really is a great professor and loves what he teaches. His Genetics class is not easy by any means, but if you are willing to put in the work, he will reward you. His lectures are pretty important, as a lot of what he covers in class is what shows up on the exams. Tegrity takes some work, but at the end of the day it really helps learning.

This man might be the worst grader to ever exist. He is the definition of inconsistent. Be prepared for a semester full of essays that will be graded harshly in seconds.

This is a tough class that requires a lot of time outside of class to do well. There are a lot of Tegrity videos, Tegrity assignments, and lab reports. To do well, do not procrastinate. Keep up with the lab reports so that you are not scrambling to finish the day before they are due. Pay attention to the figures he uses, they may be on the test.

This professor is a very poor communicator. He shows little interest in helping his students excel. He does not really care if the materials are understood. All the answers he gives to questions are vain, leaving you more confused than you were before you asked the question. He is knowledgeable of the subject, but he is horrible at teaching it.

The textbook is literally useless. I didn't use it once. Also he is a very awk and aloof man. He's nice enough I suppose and he knows his stuff, but there is a lot of work in his class.

GET. THE. TEXTBOOK. He'll say the books aren't necessary at the beginning of the semester and then tell you to study the book in the last month. Don't expect lectures to explain concepts or any kind of consistent model for the class. The tests are ridiculously specific. Remember, he thinks you are a medical biology major whether you are or not.

Hated this class. I tell everyone and anyone not to take him. We hardly used the book and you made you look at PDF instead of PowerPoints. It was all useless for his extremely hard test! He expects you to know a whole lot and it keeps off topic easily! Save yourself from a bad grade- DON'T TAKE HIM!

He gets off topic easily. His tests are hard for a freshman course, but when the results are bad he'll usually curve or give you the exams back and give bonus for all the ones you get right the second time. Even senior biology majors that had skipped this course failed his tests, and he just lectures over useless pictures he pulls off Google.

He is very unhelpful and not a good teacher at all! He jumps from topic to topic and doesn't stay on track. I would not recommend him at all! And don't even try asking him a question, or answering one. You will get shot down.

Possibly the worst teacher that i have ever encountered in my life! Pretty much comes to class everyday and say "weeeeellll" or "did i mention that?" Hey! Try to keep up with your lectures!
