I loved Professor Bates. I took him in Fall and failed but that was because I was pregnant with twins and going through Nursing school. I took him this Spring and I did a lot better. If I did not have 2 newborns at home I think I could have made a high B. His exams are straight forward. Material is easy to follow. Learn a lot from this

Prof Bates is an amazing teacher. He is not as stiff or rigid as you might expect him to be. Much fun and very informative. He really cares about his students and will help you in every way that he can. I wish I could take him for all my science classes.

I took his online A and P II and it was NOT bad. It was hard work but he structures it in such a way that it is totally doable even while taking 2 other very hard classes. I HIGHLY recommend his online anatomy classes!!!!

Bates is a GREAT teacher!! He explains and re-explains everything you need to know for his test and even points out specific things that appear on the HESI. The only way to take A&P is with Bates!! A&P is a monster class and is a lot of work but if you do what he asks of you you will be fine.

Prof. Bates is a GR8 teacher. He cares about the material and will make you learn it. He is fun and can help students relate. He is old but cooler than a fan. He is kind of no nonsense but will be str8 with u if u have any questions. Barely read book. Mostly wordlists, class notes and effort . You can make an "A". took for both I&II and made A's

good teacher but he is getting old and seems to have long pauses between sentences but really knows his stuff! lab test are extremely hard but for the lecture tests you can use any hand written note you like. study REALLY hard and you will get an A!

I took this course online and it is alot of work, reading, studying, labs etc. but its so much better for students who have taken it before or don't have the luxury of going to class. Dr. Bates responds to questions right away and he is very clear about what he is looking for. I'm glad I chose him and recommend him.

Took A&P online. You must study hard and be very precise on the homework. He did not inform me that the questions must be numbered and I got points taken off on a few assignments. Other than that, helpful teacher, great book, and you learn tons if you study! Take the class!!!

Awesome teacher! He is very clear about what he expects you to know, so there are no surprises on the test. His lectures are fantastic, and very interesting. He makes the subject fun, and makes you want to come to class. His tests are fair, and he doesn't try to trick you like some teachers do. I would highly recommend him!

If you want an awesome Prof and learn some very difficult material, Prof Bates is the teacher to take. He is available and willing to help you get to what you want. Never thought I would be where I am grade wise...stick with it show up do your work. Also, WG in tutoring is FABULOUS!!! Study group is a big big help. Good luck!

Omg, I started out undecided, now I am submitting my app for the Nursing Prog next yr. Prof Bates, made this subj very understandable. I had not taken any prereqs & this was actually not that bad as I was told it wld be. I did also attend tutoring though (thx WG), therefore it was a dbl whammy. Highly Reccommended!!!
