Love this professor. His lectures are the best, and the slides he made are excellent. Homeworks are challenging but not too much for graduate students(or senior student ). You can also learn how to publish paper in CS235. The reason I took this class because I took his CS170 last quarter. His CS 170 is a very useful AI courses too.

Literally amazing. Just take his class. Super useful and relevant. He's a stickler for a few things, like being late and cheating, but overall quite helpful to students.

I've never enjoyed a course more than this one! Yes, he teaches some advanced content and expects you to work hard on your own, but i think it's fair. His slides are the best, he's clear, and he actually loves his work so much that it shows. That energy's contagious. Would happily take any course he takes! Recommended.

He's easily one of the most knowledgable professors in the computer science department. He really knows his field machine learning and has easily written hundreds of papers on machine learning. He's a really troll professor because he always says theres going to be a quiz next lecture but never actually gives it. When he does, he doesn't collect it

Professor Keogh is a very famous guy in Data Mining and at the same time the best adviser and professor ever. Very clear explanation and he has terrific ideas in his mind. He is awesome! I had an offer from USC but I preferred to stay at UCR and work with him. He is perfect! Very nice, supportive and helpful.

Had Dr. Keogh for 170, and was amazed at how well the material was presented. There is not another professor that I have more respect for than he. He's an intimidating guy at times, but if you ask for help, he never treats you like a child. Definitely take him, you will not regret it!

Tests are a little hard, but they're multiple choice. His slides are easy to understand and funny. His teaching style is goofy but he's a cool guy. Plus he soothes you with music videos before class starts lol. Oh yeah his programs are a little tricky but he's lenient with grading.

Makes GOOD jokes during lecture. Allows us to leave 30min early. Has open office hours all day, open door policy. Has all materials posted already, can learn everything in 2 weeks. His office is crazy, I've never seen a better use for pennies. Fantastic irishman!!
