The instructor is the toughest grader I have ever met. He was not helpful at all when I needed help. Even though he is an instructor of "IT", he did not use video lecture. Instead, he only provides voice over power point. He is the only instructor whose face I have not even seen. He looked unmotivated. The advice is do best not to take his class.

I took Prof. Cherian's online summer course. All lectures were posted to blackboard a week before class officially started. It was great because you could pick your own pace. Prof. Cherian was very accessible and held a weekly online chat. He truly enjoys the topics he teaches!

I took Prof. Cherian's online summer '12 course. All his lectures were posted online as well as assignments, once class started; so you could pick your own pace. He was very responsive to the case studies and held an online web chat each week. Best alternative to a classroom course.

Definitely a GPA Killer. I should have checked his ratings and reviews before taking the class. The class seemed like an English Writing course. Not an IT. Mistake.

GPA killer! grades you more on MLA format, excel, and accounting skills than IT. Doesn't even teach excel. timed open note tests that is very subject heavy. Doesn't reply to emails. Discussion board is required but not part of grade. AVOID if possible!!!

To be honest, he is a GPA killer. I tried my best to revise all my papers and prepared for the quizs, but he still said I have to study harder. He always ignore your email and gave you very very low score. Just avoid him.

This is my first review and I hope to warn potential students from this mistake. I am an exceptional student, but this professor is out for your destruction. I reached out to him on multiple occasions for clarification and help and he was unwilling and informative. He thinks too highly of himself to even consider his students. GPA KILLER. AVOID!!!

Fantastic Professor! I had no interest in info systems, but as far as required classes goes, Cherian makes it a joy. Good amount of work, but not a difficult A if you put the time into it. Easily one of the most helpful and caring professors at GW! Sit close, participate, and enjoy.

He does not care if you work full time.I had to work late and unable to attend class and hand in my homework but he would not take an emailed version.I also have him as an advisor for the MIS program.AVOID.what you say the day you are advised must be followed to the letter.There is no flexibility.I have to fight him just to take a class to graduate

He is inflexible. He demands you attend class to hand in your homework, and deducts a letter grade if you can't make it. This is a part time program and most of us work full time...he knows this, yet is unwilling to compromise with students. Also, despite all of the assignments the final is still worth 45% of our grade. AVOID.

Tries to engage the class in discussion which are much more interesting then the actual topic (boring!). Tests are fairly easy but a lot of memorization. He will help with writing if asked but he will also grade on grammar, spelling, and citation so be sure to proof read.
