Grades are based on: Tests, homework, class work and final. Final is half your grade. If you show up late, expect to wait outside until he tells you that you can come in. Attendance not mandatory because a different lecture on the same subject can be found on homework website. If do not attend class, classwork grade will drop.

I've always been bad at math. in fact this was my second time taking math 115 and I got an A. If you do the practice test and homework believe me you'll pass. he has tutors in his class the whole time that will prepare you for all his tests. would definitely take his class again.

Dr Hector was very patient with me. If I didn't understand a problem I went to the board and worked it out in front of him. He always encouraged his students not to leave the class unless they knew how to do the problems assigned. He has two remarkable Supplemental Instructors who are available during and after class to help students. Thank U!

First of all.. This man can teach! He will not move on from a section unless you fully get it! He has two TA's that are there to help. Yes, you have to complete homework before he lectures, but trust me, it helps! DO NOT BE LATE. He wants everyone to be on time so he can begin class on time. Guaranteed passing grade!

Homework is due BEFORE he even lectures on it. If you can't teach yourself along w lab you will loose out on points. His assistant will block you from entering if ur late which is just as distracting as letting u in. He relies too much on verbage from the book when most of us can't teach ourselves from the book. I like him but not his class.

WOW!!!! This teach was a gift from GOD for me. I went to over 3 different schools for math and failed all 3 schools. Yes! math isn't my thing. however Dr. Hector helped me. He's not one of them teacher that math hard. He really help you learn and understand the work. Take his class if you want to learn and enjoy coming to class.

Great Teacher & understands his student demographic. He is stern but understanding. 1st hour of class he focuses on the rules of math and he will reiterate it throughout. In class - Lecture & participation work ( it must be completed because this is how he takes attendance- he does not take role) Home- watch videos & turn in MUST HAVE A NEW BOOK

Dr. Hector is a well respected teacher. Who wants his student to learn and excel in the class material. He explains step by step the all of the mat problems. The tests that he gives is exactly what he lectures on before taking the test. If you do your homework and come to lectures you can not go wrong with earning a good grade. He's a great teacher

Great teacher, doesn't bs around. Gives exact ways to solve problems, no quizzes, only a final (summer session). Most important, I actually understood what was taught. 10/10 would recommend
