Comment:

Dr. Goldman is a very nice person, but not the best professor. I found her lectures to be confusing & difficult to understand. I taught myself most of the material by reading the textbook. If you have a poor background in chem like I did, then this class will likely be difficult. However, its possible to get an A as long as you really work for it.

Comment:

Dr. Goldman is a great professor for Chem 141. Although her lectures can sometimes be a little dry/ confusing, she is very accessible outside of class, and gives you plenty of resources to help you understand and practice the material. She is a nice woman and if you work hard and ask for help you will do well in the class.

Dr. Goldman is a good CHEM 141 professor. She explains concepts well and is always willing to help. She holds a review session the night before each exam, which is a good place to get any last minute questions answered. I definitely had to put in a lot of effort to do well, but I learned a lot!

Dr. Goldman will be your favorite person at the University of Richmond. If you have the privilege of taking one of her courses, you won't regret it. A well-respected MIT graduate, she has a passion for chemistry. She is the most genuine person. She understands the needs of her students, and tries to accommodate you. She evens comes in on weekends!

I luv herrr!! I have always been very anxious about chemistry despite taking courses in HS, but she really tries hard to answer questions, meet students, and explain concepts in ways to make it more memorable and interesting! She is a very reasonable and straightforward grader. Great that there are only prob sets and tests. Highly recommend!!!!!!!!

Dr. Goldman is amazing! As someone who hasn't taken Chem since sophomore year of HS, I was really scared of this class, but she was so helpful and willing to answer any questions. She gives a binder with basically all the notes you need on the first day of class + tests from the previous semester. She will go out of her way to meet with students

Good and easy teacher. The 2nd module of Inorganic Chem. involves difficult topics and she tries really hard to teach it and it comes down to you practicing outside of class and going to her for help. But no matter how hard the topic may get, tests will be easy once you practice.

Dr. Goldman is a fantastic professor. She explains the material very well during lecture time. You don't use the textbook much, but it is great to have for reference, as well as practice problems. She doesn't always understand the questions asked by students, but is helpful if you go in to meet with her.

Dr. Goldman is a great professor to begin your college chemistry classes. She tries to keep things simple and, often, tries to narrow things to a few basic ideas. She does not send a lot of work but if you want to get enough practice you have to work on the suggested book problems. She is truly nice.

Best teacher ever. Gives you a binder full of notes. Gives you practice tests from semester before. Gives optional additional problems in textbook. Has review sessions for tests. Answers ANY question patiently. So nice. LOVES chemistry. Helped link class and lab. Overall amazing- take her.

Dr. Goldman is a great professor that I would definitely recommend. She is always willing to answer questions and clarify information. She is also always willing to meet outside of class if you are confused! She did a good job correlating what we were learning in class with what we were doing in lab that week so we understood the concepts.

Comment:

Dr. Goldman is a great professor who is genuinely interested in the course material and genuinely cares about her students and how they do in the class. She offers review sessions before each test during the semester and also before the final. She also provides adequate examples to make course material easier to follow. I plan on taking her again!

Super helpful, clear about everything, offers bonuses on tests. I hate science, I hate Chemistry but she totally made the class, understandable, bearable and fun. TAKE HER you won't regret it!

Comment:

She is the kindest, most helpful professor. See her for help if you need it-she loves that. Her initial explanations can be confusing, but she will go over it again in a simpler manner if you ask questions. I opened my book maybe twice-don't waste your money if you don't plan on doing extra problems. Bottom line: you want her to fill a requirement.

Dr. Goldman is funny and helpful, and she loves her subject. It can be difficult to understand where she's going in lecture sometimes, but usually if you ask, read her note packets or read the book it all works out. Her tests are easy if you know what you are doing, and her help with labs has been amazing for my grade!

Dr. Goldman is "ok". You can tell, however, that she isn't really thinking about how she can improve her teaching. I imagine that uses the same problem sets and, probably the same exams, from year to year. Very helpful, however, and you can do well if you go to office hours. Straight forward in her approach, just not always very interesting.

Bad at explaining things, and expects you to know things that may or may not have been taught to you already...But a very nice person who wants you to do well. Go in to see her and get help and it will help your grade.
