All in all a solid professor. Expects that you give an honest effort, and will be fair if he sees that you are doing so. There is a lot of note-taking in this class, and you pretty much have to do it if you want to do well. Not an easy professor, but not painfully hard either. Grading is hard early in the course, but gets easier.

his bio 199 class was definetly the hardest out of all of them, but most useful,but what i leanred has been SO useful in my genetics class this semester ive barely had to study. he is a very smart, lectures are boring just because he feeds you so much information. tests usually cover about 1/3 of the material he teaches, but you have to know it all

He doesnt explain things well, doesnt give u sufficient help outside of class unless u have precise questions, complains a LOT!...doesnt return homework or tests for weeks (sometimes months) and gives u no help when it comes to tests..no study guides, reviews, etc...

okay - dr. warrick is a nice guy and he's funny in the goofy science teacher way. He keeps me entertained at 9:20 every MWF - so he must be doing something right. He makes things clear and tries to confirm that we all understand before moving on. Tests - challenging but manageable, the quizzes are only take home. He's really not a bad guy.

He is pretty boring. His tests aren't that hard, but he often focuses on a limited amount of information from the notes. Go to class to know what to focus on the tests and just study your notes and you will do fine.

Nice guy...but STUPID as can be. Boring too. At least he writes down all his notes on the whiteboard. But don't expect help outside of class...he doesnt know how to answer questions that deviate from the lab protocol. Tries to stimulate class discussion..but ineffective. Grading got harder as semester proceeded. Quizes are hard. AVOID!

holy crap this guy is boring. definitely knows his stuff, real smart, but that doesn't make it easy. will help if asked, but goes on in class about stuff that has no bearing on what ur learning. goes on tangents too in depth and smart for intro bio.

Dr. Warrick presents the material in a very clear and understandable way. He grades extremely easily, and is a genuinely nice man. However, he is kind of a nervous guy, and his lectures are incredibly boring. He is much better in smaller upper level courses than in Intro to Genetics though.

Very nice guy, but sometimes does not explain lab directions clearly. He tries to make lab fun and help students out if they don't understand concepts so overall he's a pretty good professor for lab.

he's a nice guy and he's really smart. but he'd make a better researcher than a teacher because he explains everything to you like you already know all the stuff he knows. so its really easy to get lost. i would not recommend him for intro to genetics.
