Come to class! I did really well on the exams because she literally gave the most detailed explanations of what we would be tested on. Also on our papers she gave really helpful feedback. Hardly anyone came to lectures, but just trust me it's so worth it, easy A.

AVOID!!!! Dr Jones was really rude and dismissive! Her classes are boring and its hard to stay awake. I can cope with a boring class though - its the rude and dismissive that really annoyed me - NEWS FLASH - you only have a job because people like me pay so much to sit in front of you and ask questions.

Dr. Jones ran a very interesting class. There was a lot of reading for each week's seminar, but the readings were carefully picked and very informative. Overall, her methods of evaluation were fair (test, paper, and final), and she gave very valuable feedback. I would highly recommend Dr. Jones to any U of M history major or student.

Classes are mandatory which is a shame because they can be quite hard to sit through. Material is definitely presented from a femmenist standpoint. Issues she breaches are meant to be affirmed, no contested. Lots of reading required for little 1% assignments and weekly discussions. That being said, very helpful outside of class, gives missed notes.

Brutal Prof. Lectures are soso but all your essays throughout the year are all research and have nothing to do with the class. Feminist and worst marker i have ever seen. Even if you have proof your are right about something she will not change your mark. Does not understand that students are not Scholars, marking terribly inconsistent. KEEP AWAY.

Actually she is nice and fair. Marks a bit hard but tells you what is on the test so then its up to you to write. Just to biased for me. Man this should have been called women in history and left wing politics not the history of Canada. How dare anyone be successful in Canada's history. You have to be left wing to enjoy this class

I remember taking History of Medicine with this Professor. I thought she was articulate, scholarly, and sympathetic to the fact that students also have lives/issues outside the scope of school. I remember her being demanding also. Overall, I remember this was a positive experience.

notes she "puts on board" make no sense. terrible at public speaking. her ideas of what certain assignments are are wrong and then she criticizes you for doing them the way they should be done. No explanation of assignments in class. Stay out of it.
