took her flow/hatha yoga combo this summer and enjoyed it so much. she's very sweet and laidback and doesn't focus on perfection. just try your best at the poses! she gives you different "difficulty" levels, and (sometimes) walks around and helps fix your form. there was one exam at the end -- just read the handouts and you'll be golden. loved her!

Excellent teacher, fun and friendly. She works you pretty hard, but gives you different levels of intensity to suit your fitness level. She gives a midterm (with a study guide, multiple choice 50 questions, pretty easy if you read the book. And she gives a final with a study guide too, read the book, show up to class and get your A! :)

She is an awesome teacher. She has 1 midterm and a final but regardless of the grade you get on them, as long as you are not absent for more than 3 classes you still get an A. You can make up 3 absences by going to the weekend class or to the class after pilates if she has one.

She has been one of my favorite classes this year. Really enjoy it! She encourages you to push harder, which is good, because even half way through one quarter, i see results!!! and i feel goooooooooooood! Highly recommended!

Took her for Pilates and it was fun. She is very good at explaining how to do certain moves. Has a multiple choice midterm and final based on six chapters out of a fitness and wellness book. Yes they affect your grade so really do read them. All and all I would take her again. Good teacher.

Summer yoga class. Easy. Got the book and just read through it casually and made notes from her study guide and reviewed that casually before the test to easily fly through that thing. Great yoga class. Just go and have fun. No emphasis on perfection, which is good. You dont need to take the test or write the simple paper if just pass/nopass

Took her class a couple times. Very chill teacher with easy to follow routines. No HW or stress.. which is how a yoga class should be. I still practice some poses I learned from her. Make sure you buy a nontoxic mat from wholefoods across the street.

She is a super lovely yoga professor! She is really good at modification for beginners, is clear and made yoga fun! If you take it P/NP, you don't need to take the final but if you don't then you take a MC final. Recommend her :)

I really enjoyed the Yoga class that I had last quarter with Mrs. Ghiasvand and am taking her Pilates course this quarter. She's very thorough in explaining the technique which was good since I'd never taken Yoga before. As long as you don't miss more than 2 classes, you should have no problems getting a good grade. I hope she has more classes.

I wasn't really into yoga at the beginning, but now I really like it. Professor Farzaneh Ghiasvand is very knowledgeble in this field. This is an easy A class. Just go to class which is common sense then you'll get an A. There is a "Final" at the end of the quarter, but it's really easy. She did mentioned that the final doesn't affect your grades.

I took her for Step,Hi-Lo Impact Aerobics,+Cardio Kick. She was great (+nice). Not easy, esp.if you are out of shape(like me!) but is great at what she does-best, most thorough wkout I've had in any aerobics class. She allows you to modify steps to make it low impact. I wish I could just keep taking her class-I would if she taught them all in Fall!

Very simple class. Just show up to class. She does tell you the final is not going to effect your grade. And I found that to be true. The final is about 60 questions but, I never once read the book and I took the final and I failed it Im sure but, I got an A in the class because I was there every session. Very easy A. I strongly recommend her.

The yoga class was fine, enjoyed learning the poses. However, be ready to get screwed over because there is a 5 page final at the end of the semester. She doesn't lecture once, only gives out handouts. She said not to worry about the final, all we had to do was show up to every class and we could still get a good grade. NOT!
