She's great- loves music, loves her students, loves teaching! She's very fun and chipper. Unfortunately the college has combined all upper level piano classes into one, so she has to divide the class into different groups and can only focus on one at a time- This means there is a lot of down time in the class. Still have work to do though! Was fun.

great starting class for keyboards,i learned a lot and those recitals are rewarding to have finished,she was always super helpfull and if shes not able to then her helpers could(shirley/dorothy),they were all very nice,they made the class easy

Ms. Fay is sweet and patient and so energetic! I have learned so much in this class, and yet it hasn't been difficult. She has a way of teaching as if we were little kids, yet it isn't annoying, maybe because it's clear that she knows we are adults and she doesn't take herself too seriously. Fern is an amazing music teacher. She possesses a wonderful insight into music and understands tiniest details, nuances, and intricacies that has revived pieces I thought could never come alive. She loves teaching and is enthusiastic about what she does. She has a love for music that is contagious.

Excellent instructor. Will give students in piano class a solid foundation. Wonderful understanding of music, very insightful. Talks about history and theory in an applicable way to the technical aspects of piano. Enthusiastic and fun.
