Comment:

Tachibana-sensei is the best professor I've had while at Palomar. She Is one of the few who are interested in you and not just teaching. She will go out of her way to make class fun and accessible. I highly recommend her if you can get her if she ever teaches any level you are get her immediately. Even if it's in Escondido, she is well worth it.

Comment:

Tachibana-Sensei is hands down one of my favorite teachers of all time. While sometimes she is a bit hard to understand she always goes out of her way to make sure you get the help that you need as long as you ask for it. She relies heavily on the book and you MUST use it to get a passing grade. As long as you put in the work, you'll pass.

Comment:

Took Tachibana-sensei's classes back in 05-06. She's very happy and makes classes fun. Goes off on tangents a few times. I think that she zooms past the kanas too quickly, which wasn't a problem for me so much as other students who couldn't get it quick enough. Indulges the majority of the class's anime habit a bit. Made going to Palomar awesome.

Tachibana Sensei expects you to do a lot of work. She cares a lot though and will help you constantly if you email her or visit her in class. She tries really hard to make the class interesting and fun. I thoroughly enjoyed this class.

She was is so sweet and tried to help us so much. Even though she is very helpful, she is very hard to understand in the beginning. Until you get used to her accent, it gets easier.

she is a good teacher even made the class interesting though the higher you go up in the courses the harder it gets. Her organization was ok everything posted on black board. There might have been some technical difficulties on test but it was okay. Over all she did her best. She is always there to give a helping hand.

I had Tachibana sensei for Japanese 102 and 201. She was better in 102, but this semester she seems like she's always distracted. She spends the first hour talking about random crap. Then she'll spend 40min or less asking random people questions in Japanese that relates to the chapter we're in. Then will finish the class with Japanese culture.

I can not convey, how GLAD I am I had her as a teacher! She was quite humorous, and absolutely loved to help students out. The activities she planned were always enjoyable, and though I had already studied everything covered on my own before the class, I still found the class exciting! And I especially love the "special guests" she brought in.

Tachibana sensei is a wonderful teacher as long as you know your material. Her way of running the class is a little random, though. If you plan on taking her class and a newbie at JAPN, you must take studying seriously.She doesn't accept laziness, either. She's a fun teacher and very nice either way.

I love Tachibana Sensei! She is my favorite teacher so far at Palomar, and is lots of fun. I am very excited to continue learning from her in the upcoming semester in Japn 102. She is very caring, and lovely. I love that she is more concerned with what a student actually learns rather than grades, because that's what really counts! ♥ =^_^=

Tachibana Sensei is an excellent teacher of the Japanese language. She is a caring and kind individual that takes time to go over the material and teach the students in both a friendly and professional manner. i had tachibana for 101 and now i'm in her 102 and i hate it. 101 was great, it was really easy, but 102 she starts calling the class like a family and getting into your life. if you don't like a personal teacher, don't go to her. i used to love Japanese. now i want nothing to do with it.

Awesome sensei! She's really cool and nice and easy to get along with. If your looking into Japanese 101 or 102, she's the best. Her methods are easy to understand and the way she teaches is really fun and entertaining. Of course you still have to study, but she makes learning たのし(fun)!!!
