Native Plant and Tree ID Great teacher, never met a man so passionate about ANYTHING the way he is about what he teaches. Interesting man, although scatter brained at times. Definitely fights for what he believes. Willing to help, I suggest EVERYONE that has an opportunity to take this man's class should. So smart he's scary at times.

Great teacher - doesn't like too much homework or class time. He'll usually take you all around campus talking about trees and dirt and stuff - but the way he teaches it makes it very interesting. He also wants to help the environment but not be so digustingly aggressive about it - like some of the violent environmental groups.

Ron Alves is agreat teacher. all test are take home test, wich are alittle harder but its cool because you get to work with classmates. He is a teacher you can learn from. I recomend Alves to anybody. take him if you have a chance

very professional, entertaining, and a little bit demanding teacher. class is easy though, all take home exams that are not easy, but they're all take home..
