Miller is the nicest and most understanding professor I have had. He actually made it so I understood the material. He also recognizes that the reason students are in Intro To Chem are because it is a requirement and therefore he makes it much easier to do well. It is easy to ask him questions and he is a more than fair grader.

Prof. Miller makes Intro to Modern Chem very bearable for a Science requirement for MAP. If you get a 90 average between the two open note mini exams you skip the final, and so long as your labs are in good standing you'll get an A. He's easy, nice and clear. Recommend this for any Sternie who needs their Nat Sci done.

Excellent professor. Really teaches the material so that you'll understand it. He's always available for office hours and after class for questions. Helpful to go to lectures but not mandatory. 3 tests, drops lowest grade and lab is mandatory

The class is really easy. He is probably the best professor I've had so far. He explains everything and he really wants no one to fail so he makes the tests easy and we can have cheat sheets. TAKE HIS CLASS!

SWEETEST OLD PROFESSOR EVER!! I hated chemistry in high school, did horrible. But Miller breaks it down so easily, he lets you use a cheat sheet on his tests!! (which are EASYEASY A's) he does take attendance for his lectures, but usually lets us out early anyways! I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!

I took Miller for Intro. to Chem. after doing very poorly in chem. during high school. Having Miller teach the class was a huge relief. He's very calming and really cares that his students do well. Miller understands that this class is for students who just need to fulfill a requirement and that's all, therefore he's pretty flexible with grades.

I took Nat Sci with Miller. What a load of garbage. Lectures were just a dry re-reading of the textbook verbatim, with little extra help or insight. The tests were graded with the craziest and most illogical curving systems. If you dislike chemistry- stay far, far away.

He is a very nice professor. His grading policy is straight forward: get a 90% or better on your first two exams, then you are exempt from the final. He is not a difficult grader. Easiest A, A- or B+ you'll get.

He is a nice man and an incredibly helpful professor; he'll go over any questions you have until you understand. Testing policy is awesome - average an A on the first 2 tests & you're exempt from the final. Overall, Intro to Modern Chem isn't a difficult class. For those who took any Chem in high school it was like a refresher course.

Miller is one of those professors who makes going to class more enjoyable. Yeah, the stuff you're studying might not be your favorite but he is good at what he does. Very helpful if you have questions, but let him know you're going to be at office hours or he might not show.

easiest class i've taken. attendance isn't necessary but going to class will help you if you aren't familiar with basic chem. professor miller is really nice and helpful. exams are extremely easy and if you get a's on the first two, you don't have to take the final (which means there is no need to go to class after the 2nd exam!). labs aren't relevant to class, but go by pretty quickly.

He is really an awesome guy. I failed with Halpin but Miller was soooo nice about everything. For one he is approachable not like Hapin who, at least for me, intimidated the hec outta me and he is easy on the grading. But if you decide to go onto Chem 2 get ready for Halpin caz there is no way out of that one.

I'm not a science major - I had no idea what I was in for, but this turned out to be my favorite class this year. Very easy (all you need is basic math & logic) & interesting. Miller is funny & easygoing, doesn't collect homework, & exams were shockingly easy. Lab was easy & fun. A great GenEd unless you absolutely despise Chemistry.
